A Sydney wedding by Untitled Film Works + gm photographics

I just love love stories like the one that accompanies this beautiful Sydney wedding.  Boy and girl meet as schoolchildren (even standing next to each other in their first grade photo!), part ways, meet again and fall madly and completely in love.  Even better than a sweet love story?  A tale that has a romantic wedding right dab in the center of it.  gm photographics captured all the peaches n’ cream details of the day and Untitled Film Works brings us a lovely and emotional film below.  See all the delightful details in the full gallery!

Of course, we can’t say goodbye to this stunning wedding without viewing the touching film by Untitled Film Works

From the Bride…Steve and I initially met in Primary School when I was 5 and he was 6. We were actually next to each other for our Grade One class photo. However he changed schools a couple of years later and it was 10 years on when we met up again. It took Steve awhile to win me over from the “just friends” stage but once he had we were inseparable. He surprised me with a proposal pretty much exactly 5 years after we had met again.

As an editor at Untitled Film Works I had the wedding video side of things sorted before we had even set a date! But seeing weddings every day meant I really wanted to do something different and special for my own wedding, I still wanted all the traditional elements that I loved about weddings but I wanted to incorporate something that made very much our own. When I found Style Me Pretty it was exactly what I had been looking for and I was completely inspired by all the unique DIY, personality infused weddings I saw and knew that’s what I wanted for ours.

Steve and I really liked the idea of a country style wedding and once we found Loxley on Bellbird Hill in the Blue Mountains it was a perfect fit for our reception. It’s a naturally stunning place so we kept our styling very simple with the tables just decorated with vines and roses around hurricane lamps. We found Mount Tomah Botanic Gardens a bit further up the same road and as soon as I saw the formal garden with it’s natural aisle and arbor to hold the ceremony under I knew it was perfect. On the day all the flowers were out and we have never seen it look more beautiful! Our style was quite eclectic; I suppose if you had to name it, it was rustic elegance with whimsical charm! The venues naturally led to a rustic style and we kept the elegance end of things with formal invitations and dress code to match the style of my dress that I had my heart set on from the beginning. I finally found “The ONE” after searching high and low.

Our favourite moment was seeing each other for the first time as I walked down the aisle. Looking back it was clear at that point how all the planning and hard work was worth it, at that first glimpse surrounded by all our special friends and family gathered to celebrate just for us. A truly unforgettable day!
