The Holden Inn Wedding by Lisa Rigby Photography

We’ve seen plenty of nautical-inspired weddings around here but this Cape Cod celebration by Lisa Rigby Photography has set itself apart from the pack.  I’ve been crushing over every little detail from the moment I laid my eyes on it.  Its fresh, East Coast vibe, casual backyard elegance and mix of preppy meets vintage flair has stolen every little bit of my heart and doesn’t plan on letting go anytime soon.  So pull up a seat and enjoy a close up look in the full gallery!

From Lisa Rigby PhotographyThe Holden Inn was originally built as a sea captain’s house in 1848, hence the somewhat nautical theme. There are also some 4th of July touches. The bride and her mother collect antiques, and got many of the wedding items at the famous Brimfield Fair, including: lobster trap (used to display seating cards), blue glass, pie servers and the cigar humidor. One of Erin’s favorite details was an antique glass Japanese buoy that she and Josh found at a flea market on the Cape (big round glass in netting, pictured). Josh made the chalkboard sign from an antique oak frame he found in thrift store in Ventura, CA (the couple live in Ventura). The lantern used to collect cards was found by Erin’s father at the Brimfield Fair.

The cigars were hand-rolled at Josh’s favorite cigar bar on Boylston in Boston. Erin did all of the calligraphy herself, and even took classes so she could learn! In fact, calligraphy is now her new hobby. Erin’s father made the drift wood signs from wood he, Erin’s sister and friend found on the Cape. Erin also sewed all of the table runners herself, using burlap she got in the LA fabric district for $.99 a yard! She made Josh’s monogrammed pocket square from a project in the Handmade Weddings book and embroidered it with help from Marthastewart.com. Their guest  sign-in book was a gorgeous book of photos of Cape Cod.

Erin and Josh used dog photos instead of table numbers since the7 met at a dog park in Boston. The couple’s signature drinks were all named after the three Puggle dogs that brought them together: “Mia Mojito, ” “Rozzie Rossini” and “Summer Gin Fizz.”
