If you live in the Commonwealth, you know one of beauties of living here is the fact there are so many pretty states just a hop, skip and a jump away for you to enjoy. One of the prettiest on that list is most definitely Vermont. Can you get anymore quaint? I think not. Alanna of Alanna Scully Photography decided she wanted to bring that quaintness to life, so she took her inspiration up north with the help of The Painted TulipRentals Unlimited, Zoe Ink and Erika Fleming to create a dreamy photo shoot for us all to devour. Pretty sweet of her, right? It's vintage, adorable and there is so much more in the full gallery of images!

From Alanna Scully Photography...Burlap runner, watering cans, old books, cigars, vintage bottles, antique china and a vintage Scrabble game all contributed to a fun afternoon in the woods in northern Vermont.  The idea actually came from china we have in my house, and I decided to build a shoot around it.  We used the teacups as favors, using them to give the “guests” raspberries and strawberries.  We mixed up the flatware and chose vintage looking glassware.  The distressed wood chargers from Pier 1 fit perfectly with the table, and we used the “tea method” to make the Mr. and Mrs. signs for the chairs look antique.  The tea method is basically taking teabags and squeezing them out, then rubbing them on newspaper and letting it dry, giving it a worn, antique feel.  We borrowed the bottles and typewriter from the local antique shop.  The books were also purchased there, for $1 each!  We dug out an old Scrabble game from my basement and used that as placeholders at the table for our lovely couple.  A local invitation maker, Zoe Ink, provided us with invitation, and The Painted Tulip in Waterbury, VT, filled our watering can with some beautiful flowers.
