Parisian Laundry Wedding by Tim Chin Photography + Design

Welcome, welcome to the launch of Style Me Pretty Canada!  We have been excited about this for quite some time and are thrilled to bring you daily inspiration from Newfoundland to British Columbia.  We can’t think of a better way to kick off our journey than with this Tuscan inspired elegant affair in Montréal captured beautifully by Tim Chin Photography + Design.  The Parisian Laundry was transformed to a secret garden complete with royal wedding-esqe trees, lovely pastel florals, twinkling lights draped from corner to corner and topped off with the romantic glow of candlelight.  If all Canadian weddings are as stunning as this baby (which we are sure they are) we’re in for a whole lotta pretty here on SMP Canada! Oh and there is soooo much more swoon worthy inspiration in the gallery!

From Tim Chin Photography + DesignFor Heather and Steve’s wedding, an old laundry (the Parisian Laundry in Montreal, to be exact) turned urban industrial art gallery was transformed into a romantic, seemingly al fresco setting that evoked the feel of a Tuscan garden. With such an interesting space to work with, we shot their portrait session right at the venue, with Heather and Steve seeing each other for the first time at the front of the aisle where they would later have their ceremony. The wedding was a joyous and gorgeous affair that had guests perusing pictures of Steve’s and Heather’s parents on their wedding days as they picked up ceremony programs and kippahs. The couple was then married under a chuppah adorned with fresh flowers and Heather looked absolutely radiant in her Monique Lhuillier gown.

Cocktails were served outside with different food stations reminiscent of an Italian marketplace. The reception space, designed by Dick Walsh, was set up to be like an intimate dinner – tables of different shapes and sizes were set with fresh flowers and foliage covered the industrial pillars while lights were stretched out all across the room overhead. Heather hand-picked the antique-style framed mirrors that served as signs for table numbers. Heather and Steve got the night kicked off by entering the room under an arch of sparklers held but their guests. Guests danced the night away to music provided by Soulvation. It was an unforgettable event.
