From the Bride… Our wedding day was perfect. We wanted it to be no-pressure, no standing in a receiving line, exactly the way we wanted it. We opted for a garden party at Conrad Ranch in Utah. We wanted it to be rustic and natural but also chic and personal.

Being on a budget, we decided to do all of it ourselves. We thrifted for unique things to put on the tables. Old vases, bowls, china, tea-pots, clocks, books, etc. My sister sewed a hundred grey lace napkin rings to go around the napkins on each plate. A family friend brought her jazz band to perform in the gazebo, which we decorated with lights and hanging glass orbs filled with fresh flowers.

My dress was from Ann Taylor, which we bought on sale, and a family friend added sleeves to it to make it different. My sister is into book-binding and created a beautiful wedding book for guests to sign as they came in. We decided that with the beautiful natural mountain backdrop surrounding us, we could use minimal decorations. The mountains were our decorations.

The party was so simple and so personal that we were able to talk with all of our guests. The main aspect of our vision was being surrounded on the most important day with the people who love us most.
