Paulyna and Noel are the kind of people whose love for each other is so gentle and tender it just melts you. Animal lovers with unique taste, their wedding was a reflection of their favorite things: each other, books, and their pet cats. When exchanging gifts before the wedding Noel gave Paulyna a comic book that he’d drawn which featured each of their cats and their funny antics. Paulyna gave Noel a pocket watch he’d been eyeing at their favorite antique store for ages. Their wedding budget led Paulyna to get creative while planning and seek out some alternative sources to get exactly what she wanted. For example, her beautiful dress was a Craiglist find which fit her perfectly from the moment it arrived. No alterations necessary! The bride’s cheerful purple shoes were also found on Craigslist and added a fun pop of color underneath her dress. All of her accessories were handmade either by her or her mother, from her jewelry to her hairpiece, proving that they are quite the talented pair! The wedding was based around the theme of vintage literature, and all of the details were lovingly handcrafted by Paulyna. Her planner did a wonderful job executing the bride’s vision and the highlight of the decor was the baby’s breath centerpieces resting on antique books.

Paulyna and Noel cast tradition aside and walked down the aisle together at the start of their ceremony. Before their hand written vows, friends shared romantic readings from classic novels describing the power of love. The bride and groom had a special part of the ceremony where they each poured soil from into a potted plant to symbolize their unity and the future growth of their marriage. Following the ceremony everyone made their way to the reception room where they were treated to cozy family style dining featuring delicious Italian food. Escort cards were hung from twine by clothespins and doubled as name tags to make socializing a breeze. The groom designed the table numbers which featured cartoon versions of their cats as characters in classic books. Upon reaching their tables, friends and family were delighted to find their names spelled out in Scrabble letters directing them to their seat. There was also a “love letters” station for guests to write their well wishes to Paulyna and Noel on an old typewriter.
