DIY Wedding with Handmade Charm

You know what I love the most about this next wedding…the PURE joy that seems to be jumping off the page. Okay so that’s not the only thing that I love. I am borderline obsessed with the silhouette stamped corn toss came, the adorable bridesmaids, the sweet downhome details and total spunk behind each and every image. It’s just one of those weddings that will make you smile and that will definitely leave you wishing you could copy every last detail. Click here to see LOTS more.

Cedric and I had been dating for a little over 3 years. He is a business man that works in DC. I own a “handmade only” boutique in Winchester, VA. I make jewelry, hair pieces and lots of other goodies so of course, I had to make as much as I could for my own wedding.

Cedric and I got married on our 5 1/2 acre farm in the historic district of Opequon. I made everything from all of the bridesmaids jewelry and hair pieces to all of the boutonniere that the men wore. One of my bridesmaids made my cake and another bridesmaid did my make-up. I made signs for the wedding as well as tons and TONS of pom poms for the tent that were all made from old dress patterns. The tent was surrounded with prayer flags made from antique hankies. I made all of the invitations and save the dates myself. I bought a pair of white, leather shoes and added added antique shoe buckles to them. My veil was made from an old brooch and antique comb. All of the men in the wedding carried antique pocketwatches. (groomsmen gift)
