Orange County Wedding by SheWanders Photography

We are dy-ing over this vibrant wedding, sent over to us by the always impressive SheWanders Photography.  Could the bride and groom be any cuter? We wish we could plant ourselves right smack dab in the middle of their completely perfect day full of charm.  It truly looks like such a fun and over the top, happy celebration.  Oh and we’re sorry, but is that a zebra we spy at the wedding?!?  Ummmm, yes please!  Run, don’t walk, on over to the gallery to see more of this wonderful day.  XO, Tori & Myka

From the bride:

Michael and I met at work way back in 2001.  We were both new to the workplace and immediately gravitated toward one another.  It wasn’t long before we were spending time together outside of the work place.  Some days we would go out and watch a movie. On other days we would go and try a new restaurant.  We were so spontaneous back then.  We got along so well that we remained good friends for five years.  It was like we were two peas in a pod.  In the summer of 2006, a mutual friend of ours told me that Michael had feelings for me that went beyond just friendship.  I kept my knowledge of his true feelings a secret and waited for him to make some sort of move.  One day he built up the nerve to ask me out.  He wanted me to come with him to his good friends wedding as his date.  After 2 more months of dating we were officially a couple.  We have the best of both worlds.  We were in love, and we were best friends.  In 2008, Michael proposed to me at Presidio Park in San Diego.  It was the happiest day of my life.

My brother got married at Rancho Las Lomas, in Silverado California, and the venue was simply amazing.  It had a touch of class and displayed the beauty of the California countryside.  I knew right away that this was the place I wanted to get married.  Rancho Las Lomas is an oasis of natural beauty that we will never forget.

The biggest challenge we had to encounter was deciding what type of wedding we were going to have.  I possess a strong Persian background so I wanted our wedding to be traditionally Persian. Michael is of Filipino decent so he wanted to add things that displayed the beauty of his culture as well.  We managed to mesh the two together in a magical wedding that our guests would never forget.  The ceremony was traditionally Persian, with the two of us displayed in front of a Sofreh (a Persian wedding spread).  The Reception had tables named after some of the more popular Philippine Islands.  It also had a live performance from Philippine folk dancers.  The two blended perfectly.  Although it was challenging, the outcome was a testament of all of our hard work.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful day with us!
