We are head over heels, jumping up and down excited that we were asked to guest blog here on Style Me Pretty.  We scoured this site 12 times a day while planning our own weddings so it’s a dream come true to now add to all of the incredible inspiration.  And what better way to start our weekly guest blog gig but with this amazing wedding?!?!  We’ve loved the Parker Palm Springs from first sight and this wedding just adds to our obsession.  Modern, glamourous and a bit vintage- just like the beautiful bride in her to-die-for Vera Wang (sequins, ruffles and frills- oh my!).  The stationery and paper products by  Wardrobe Stationery set the mood; part glamour, part whimsy, for a day made up of pink gum balls, fun cocktails, and a stunning dinner party.  All that Palm Springs prettiness was captured by the amazing Jennifer Daigle.  See all that pretty and more here. xoxo, Myka + Tori

From the bride:

Greg and I are both from Southern California and we vacationed in Palm Springs quite often, as a matter of fact we got engaged there, so having a wedding in Palm Springs was a no brainer! It was a perfect day. With the mountains and palm trees in the background, the Parker Palm Springs was the perfect venue for an outdoor wedding. Even without the breathtaking backdrop the hotel itself is a unique and beautiful spot. Everywhere you turned on the grounds you would find a new surprise – it’s almost like being in wonderland. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue. One of my favorite aspects of our wedding was our stationery.  Our invitations from Wardrobe Stationery tied in the with the architecture of the hotel perfectly. We added personal touches with the stationery by making “Sip and Repeat” stir sticks for our signature cocktails, we made little flags thet read “life is unpredictable, eat dessert first” and had chocolate covered strawberries as the first things our guests ate upon sitting at the reception. We had pashminas by the fire pit incase someone needed to keep warm, with a sign reading “keep warm”. There were so many details that we incorporated into our wedding stationery and I think that really made a huge difference.

My dress was from Vera Wang, and like the Parker, I knew right away that it was the right one. Not only was it the perfect dress for me but it was the prefect dress for a wedding at the Parker. I loved the romantic feeling of the dress and felt like a princess when I wore it. There were alot of DIY elements at our wedding as my mom tied ribbon to all of the wooden fans we placed on the seats at the ceremony, she also tied the ribbon around the hurricane vases that lined the walkway from the cocktail hour to the reception and filled each with pink gumballs, we placed a penny and lottery ticket in each persons name tag with the saying “we hope you get lucky tonight”. I loved that the color of the bridesmaids dresses and thought each one looked absolutely stunning. It matched the coral peonies on our invitations perfectly. Each of the groomsmen wore orange paisley socks to go along with our whimsical theme. I couldn’t have asked for a better day!

Thank you Alisha and Greg for sharing your gorgeous day with us!
