From Jubilee Events:

We began working with Nika and Jamar last year and loved their idea of a surprise wedding! Under the rouse that they were attending the newly engaged couples engagement party, guests arrive at the New Haven Lawn Club to a gorgeous, candlelit ceremony. It was such an amazing surprise months in the making! Family members and longtime friends traveled far and wide and were completely caught off guard.

The bride work a beautiful, layered Vera Wang gown with the most BEAUTIFUL Jimmy Choo, art deco inspired shoes! Her best friend, Mariyka, acted as her maid of honor and wore a beautiful Vineyard one shoulder dress with a black feather fascinator in her hair. Nika chose a really beautiful, rich color story of purples, ivory, silver and a pop of red. Elisabeth from Blush created stunning white arrangements for the ceremony that flanked the fireplace in shades of white and ivory. They had mercury votive candles hanging from curly branches and pussy willows. As the sun set, Nika was escorted by her father to an emotional trio of violin to Cannon D. Their ceremony was by candlelight… and their vows very poignant.

For the reception, BLUSH used brightly colored purples with hints of reds on the cocktail tables in mercury vases. Guests dined on a feast by the New Haven Lawn Club of sumptuous cocktails and hor dourves. They had an incredible ensemble of musicians from Elan Artists, and guests were created into the beautifully lit art deco ballroom with vintage Parisian music by Bon Musique. The night was capped off with a final dance by the bride and groom!
