Budget Wedding in Los Angeles

It’s hump day my friends which means that it’s a GOOD day on SMP. Get your mind out of the gutter people, I’m talking about Real Wedding Wednesday! The only day of the week where we feature one real wedding on the hour, every hour. The thing is, we get so many gorgeous weddings submitted to us each day and we have been desperate to find a way to share more of them without totally overwhelming you. Thus came the concept of Real Wedding Wednesday. The one day where we throw caution to the wind and deck the blog out with the prettiest weddings a girl could ever wish for. Up first, the definition of darling. Don’t forget to click here to see the whole wedding!

Stan and I both wanted a simple, stress free wedding, which is what we got. Our budget was $15,000, but we spent $14,000. Whoo hoo!! :)We had our friend officiate and we had no wedding party (but, all our friends gathered early to help out)! My good college roommate did my hair. Adrienne Florez who works at Salon Nesou in Santa Monica. I splurged on makeup with Renee Leewho did the most AMAZING job ever. My hair piece was from Etsy . My dress was only $400 from Nordstroms!! BCBG. Stan’s outfit was from J.Crew. ($280 for everything)!! Flowers were from our friend’s aunt. $300 only!

Our ceremony was small- 40 people and the reception was the rest of our friends, which was 80 total. We had our ceremony/reception at Joe’s Restaurant, which had amazing food! We also got to choose the complete menu!!! We had amazing food, open bar and the whole restaurant for $7800 (including tax and tip)!

We decided to have individual cakes for our guest instead of having one big cake and got our cake from Cake Monkey in Burbank. These were the highlight of the day AND we had our guests choose which flavor they wanted on their RSVP cards. :) Instead of a cake cutting ceremony, we had a bird pinata!! Which, we purchased from Etsy .

The only decorations in the restaurant were the flowers and bird cutouts that I made (a very fun DIY project)! Escort cards were purchased from Paper Source (on sale)! and depending on what cake our guests chose, that was the color heart they received. Those were in a bag with bird gift tags, which had guest’s table numbers (also from Etsy ), which went inside a goody bag, which guests used for their candy from the pinata. We walked down the aisle to “The Lucky One” by Au Revoir Simone, which our photographer used in our slideshow!!

This was seriously the best non-stressful day ever. Not to mention, super fun!! And we had the BEST food.
