This next feature is a little different but filled with inspiration none the less. If you are planning any summer soirees, you might want to take notes. This is like a summer bbq amped up about a bazillion decibels. Caplan Miller Events styled The Knot Magazines Austin Market Party last summer and it is GORGEOUS. The food, the florals, the colors…we can’t decide which is our favorite part but how amazing would these elements be at a summer wedding? Pink Lemonade, popcorn and mini burgers…perfection. We used a citrus color scheme and designed a summer evening cocktail party around these colors. We had a lounge with cabanas, rugs, furniture and bars in the lawn of Laguna Gloria. On the back terrace overlooking the lake we used low hanging chandeliers with fresh floral cords as our statement pieces. These hung low over mirrored table tops. We used the orange color scheme and had an all-orange drink station.
The food was designed to keep you cool – nothing too heavy for a hot Texas evening. All items were cool and refreshing and light. We even had wedding cake cookies displayed like an actual wedding cake.
