We as soooooo excited about what we have in store for you this week on the Little Black Book Blog! And because we’re so excited, we’re going to just dive right in!
This past year, seven of our distinguished LBB cinematographers were named as the hottest and most influential event filmmakers in the world (!) by Event DV . This achievement is pure and splendid acclaim from their peers in the industry ~ and who better to judge your art than those whom you work beside, learn from and even … instruct? One thing that’s important to note in the Event DV announcement is that this honor doesn’t require “some lofty pedigree … what [these cinematographers] are doing RIGHT NOW is making themselves stand out from the crowd … what they do with passion and purpose qualifies them to make this list!” [Stephen Nathans-Kelly, editor-in-chief, EventDV]
We’ve asked all of Style Me Pretty’s LBB members who were named in Event DV’s Top 25 to send us a short film that is representative of their work, along with a little bio about themselves … so that you too can sense their passion, their art … and know that these guys, whether seasoned vets or up-and-coming, are seriously ROCKING the wedding world.

Hello, SMP brides! We are Laura and Steve Moses of Vantage Point Productions, Inc. in Southern California. There’s not much to say about us, because it’s really all about you. The focus of our lives is finding the beauty, details and little moments – because it’s the little moments, that often slip by unnoticed, that hold the most depth and truth – in a wedding day. The gleam in an eye, an exhale of breath, soft laughter and tears … a comment, a caress – all spontaneous reactions that provide insight into the heart of the person on film. Yes, it’s the little things that serve as the crux of a great wedding film. Additionally, it’s the things we love and surround ourselves with that help to define us as individuals.
