Stacey at Red Letter Events tells us this …

Bladen knew he had met the girl for him and before he even asked her to marry him, he had already booked the wedding venue and date! Bladen’s involvement in the wedding as a groom was such a new twist on working with couples as they make decisions “together”, which I think is a great test to the base of their new marriage.

Favorite Elements: We had a great time working on this wedding, helping the clients to make the Cotton Dock “barn-like atmosphere” an “elegant wedding space”. The mother-of-the-bride had many concerns, but when she finally saw the space pulled together she said it exceeded her expectations of how elegant it could really be! Linens: A navy paisley patterned fabric the bride loved and made them in to runners/pillow covers to offset the Apple Green colored Bengaline linens. Cake: Ashley Bakery did a fabulous job taking the original wedding invitation design and incorporating it into the cake. It was such a fun and colorful cake design and all the guests were just amazed and delighted at how beautiful it looked AND tasted! Groom/Groomsmen’s Attire: Cuff Links – These were groomsmen gifts provided to everyone at Bladen’s sister’s wedding last fall and Bladen sported them again for his wedding day as his “something borrowed”. Socks: Argyle socks to compliment his tan poplin summer suit. The groom/ groomsmen wore blue bowties with the SC State Palmetto tree & moon emblem. Passed Drinks: Guests walked from the Boone Hall front lawn of the house to the Cotton Dock and were passed Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka Drinks in mason jars Favors: A flip-flop basket of all different colors and sizes was located next to the guest sign in table. As the lady guests began walking around for cocktail hour, several came up to me and asked “when is the appropriate time to shed these stiletto heels for the flip-flops” and of course we said ‘now!!’

How fun! Thanks to ALL for sharing!!
