DIY Central Coast Wedding

I am constantly falling head over heels for anything shiny and happy and this wedding is no exception. Not only is it oozing with charm and DIY goodness but every single person looks like they are having the time of their lives.

Chelsea and Greg were married at The Tiber Canyon Olive Ranch, a gorgeous olive farm nestled atop a hill in the Central Coast Wine Country. It was truly a labor of love filled to the brim with vintage details and hand crafted style. This lovely day was captured by the equally lovely Chloe Murdoch of Mike Larson photography and man oh man did she bring it. The shoe pics alone are of immense drool worthy proportions. Oh and we have lots more images tucked into our galleries right here.

Chelsea and Greg knew they wanted the day to reflect their casual, warm personalities so they decided to throw a summer party complete with bright colors and vintage detailing. The wedding was all about friends and family and everyone pitched in to make it happen.

Throughout the year, Chelsea and her mother and sister scoured thrift stores, flea markets and antique stores for decor details including vintage plates, old tea tins to hold flowers, doilies for table runners and birdcages. Chelsea enjoyed the hunt for vintage treasures so much that she began to sell her finds on her Etsy shop, Yellow Magnolia. The flowers were ordered from Costco and Fifty Flowers, and were assembled by family friends the day of the event. Each tablescape was different and included an assortment of flowers, tins, birds and nests.

Paper flowers and birds hung from the oak trees that scattered the property as well as birdcages filled with nests. The seating cards were placed on a vintage door with crackling yellow and blue paint.

Chelsea’s sister, Lauren, the designer behind Lo Boheme, designed on of a kind hair pieces for he bride, bridesmaids and flower girl, as well as custom shoe clips using feathers, vintage costume jewelry and veiling from the 1940’s. Lauren also crafted a large chandelier made from raw silk flowers to be hung as the focal point in the dining area. Chelsea’s mother Jane, the master mind behind Tux and Tulle, crafted the groomsmen and ring bearers’ neck and bow ties as well as the ring bearer pillow.
