As the sun set, guests were invited into the Catalina Room for the reception. The room is very neutral by design with cream walls, mirrors, glass sconces, and beige colored carpeting - and again, a very relaxed Mediterranean inspired setting. So with lots of candles, amber uplighting & pinspotting, mirrored credenzas of floating candles that reflected light off each other - the room was very romantic which was very important to Ana. 3 styles of centerpieces were used, and a mixture of rectangle & round tables. Long tablescapes of cream, champagne, and blush florals were used on the rectangle tables, with tall & low centerpieces. Mille Fiori even added a modern touch to the design with angled gold boxes of perfectly aligned roses & orchids. The linens were textured light turquoise caps over a cream table underlay and lavender napkins for the color accent.
To Ana & Eddie's delight, their friend Roy (who was also the friend whose wedding they attended that I had planned mentioned at the beginning) in secret collaboration me, arranged for a surprise performance. Ana & Eddie while seated at their head table were in absolute amazement that a very popular Korean B-boy group were performing at their wedding. The guests were thoroughly entertained, whether older or younger with the cultural & contemporary performances that they all appreciated, and felt pride for.
Ana & Eddie were such an amazing couple to work with, and we even share better news that they will be expecting their first child in early summer.
