Santa Barbara Wedding Photo Shoot

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I thought that we could start off the week with a heavy dose of pure gorgeousness. Today’s featured photo shoot, put together by Joy Proctor of  Joy de Vivre Wedding Coordination and Kelly Kaufman of Florette Designs put together a design that will definitely make you swoon. It’s all shabby chic, super elegant, completely girl inspiration…so you know that I love every bit of it. Oh and the photography, by Ian Grant…well, stunning.

The shoot took place at the Firestone Winery, Vineyard Mesa in Santa Barabara. Joy Proctor, the coordinator and designer behind the shoot along has been sweet enough to share some of the inspiration and detail behind the day!

Kelly, the owner of Florette Designs and I decided to do sweet vintage photoshoot in our down time between wedding seasons. Rachel Korrey, Special Events Manager of Firestone Winery was kind enough to let us use their Vineyard Mesa location for the shoot. We set up beneath a big, old oak tree overlooking the vineyard and did two shoots: one table set up and one dessert buffet.

There were a couple items which we borrowed from local vendors such as the beautiful solid wood table provided by Discount Party Rentals, the fruitwood chiavari chairs and Jefferson silverware from Event Rents and the gorgeous chandeliers from LBPS Events. Everything else we found online!

The antique lace runner in khaki was found on eBay, and draped down the length of the table. The gorgeous ivory stoneware made by Chris Madden was found online at JCPenny. The clear Fleur de Lys glassware came from World Market and Kelly found the blue glass goblets on sale at Anthropologie. The gorgeous peony, garden rose, hydrangea, ranunculus and raspberry centerpieces were displayed in white wrought iron urns from Barreveld. Between the centerpieces we placed lots of little mercury glass and hobnail candle holders and single blooms in antique medicine bottles. The mercury glass candle holders came from Luna Bazaar and the hobnail candle holders came from 100 Candles. We found the antique medicine bottles on eBay.

We baked a bunch of yummy treats including coconut cupcakes, mini lemon bundt cakes and a lemon wedding cake, displaying them on various plates and crystal dishes we had at home. We also displayed an assortment of saltwater taffys in apothecary jars, and set out raspberry lemonade in mason jars with drink flags that read, “enjoy!” I cut mini flags from assorted printed paper and lined the front of the table with them.
