Rustic, Chic Wedding by Heather Kincaid, II

The fabulous Heather Kincaid sent us today’s featured affair and to me, it is so indicative of her style…natural elegance, approachable gorgeousness. The entire wedding is about as lovely as it gets, with a bride and groom that hand crafted nearly every detail.

Here is a little description of the day from the girl behind the lens. We’ll have more from the bride coming up in just a bit!

Annie & Joe had a chic wedding at Lake Oak Meadows on June 20, 2009. The venue is so charming with a rustic-yet-sophisticated feel that was accented with simple, country-inspired mason jar centerpieces with bright and fun pink, yellow and citrus arrangements finished with rafia. My favorite details of the entire wedding were the chalkboard signs with witty, clever sayings sporadically placed around the reception area. The most clever sign was the one that read “Get Leckie,” a play on words that referred to Joe’s, and now Annie’s, last name. The signs made the venue feel personalized and welcoming to all of the guests and completed the feel of country charm.

The day immediately turned into a fairy tale once Annie and her dad were visible across the lake driving up in a horse and carriage to the ceremony site. The ceremony that followed was touching and personalized and made the guests both laugh and cry. It was complete with Annie and Joe reading their own personal vows before they drove off in the carriage together as husband and wife.

The reception was a total blast! All of the guests were on the dance floor the whole night. It was a beautiful Summer evening in Southern California and everyone enjoyed the weather, the music and the cocktails to celebrate Annie and Joe’s long-awaited day.

So much more on the way!!
