White Color Palettes, II

Okay, so here is how the whites color palette would translate into a wedding board…

Top Row: Wedding Favor photography by Belathee, Wedding Gown by Jenny Packham on Brides, Cocktail featured on Food In Motion / Center Row: Little Girls photography by Belathee, Flowers by Victoria Pearson, Letterpress by Black Pearl Press / Bottom Row: Cocktail Dress by Maggie London at Nordstrom, Food Photo by Victoria Pearson, Gown by Romona Keveza on Brides.

As I was putting together this board, I was reminded of two things that are really important when doing a palette using any ONE color…hue and texture. If you want to achieve a sense of depth and elegance, you really must vary the shades of white that you use…from pristine whites, to creams and ivories, to even a more champagne or nude color. It will really give your color palette a richness that you just can’t achieve by using a single shade of white. When you pair the various whites with different textures, your look will seem much more cohesive.
