After a long flight from Houston to Boston yesterday, I arrived home to most wonderful surprise package. Inside, were two perfect boxes filled with two perfect sets of sweets, made none other than one of our Little Black Book members, take the cake in Chicago. My husband and I devoured the cookies and truffles in about three minutes flat, which was a good sign that I should write about them on today’s post …
The first two images are of take the cake’s newest addition, Chocolate Gourmet, a collection of sweet treats that would make for the most perfect wedding favors. The best part about the little cookies and truffles…they easily fit the two requirements for a good food favor…delicious and absolutely adorable. Plus they come in oh-so-clever flavors like “messed-up mocha, oozy boozy caramel and morning after merlot.” You can buy their cookies and truffles online…the only tough part might be deciding which ones to order. When in doubt, go for the chubby wubby chocolate cookies. Heaven, literally.
take the cake also designs truly stunning wedding cakes…seriously. Just look at that detail work. There isn’t much more to say about these cakes other than “wow.” The colors, the styles, the overall look and design…it’s so chic and contemporary, and yet feels really romantic.
Thanks so much to take the cake for being such a wonderful inspiration! And, for providing my husband and me with a nice little welcome home “dinner.”
