I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that I don't have an inspiration board today. To be honest, I just wasn't that inspired. When I actually started writing the piece, I felt like the ideas that I had just weren't coming together. I was almost forcing an inspiration board to happen, even though I really didn't feel like the pieces were fitting together. That's the bad news.
The good news, on the other hand, is that I have had one of my very rare "WOW-that's-so-true" thoughts.
So many brides are pressed for time...choosing the locale, booking the vendors, picking out the attire, figuring out the flowers, the menu, the favors, the band...the list goes on and on. Not to mention, the engagement parties, the showers, the long lunches with your mom talking about all of the little details. It's no wonder I get so many emails from rather busy, rather un-inspired brides. So, here is my WOW thought...there is absolutely no way that you will be able to have a stylish, inpsired wedding without taking the time to (and forgive the cliche), smell the roses. If you aren't enjoying your engagement, allowing yourself time to simply "be" in the planning process, the wedding itself will reflect that. We all want that perfect wedding. But it will never happen if you are forcing it to. Step back, remember what a wedding actually is, remember who you and your fiance are as a couple, and let the inspiration just happen. The best weddings come from those people who are so in love, they forget to obsess about all the details.
Okay, enough of my rambling. I don't have an inspiration board as promised, but I do have ONE FABULOUS FIND!!!
