SmogShoppe Wedding by Picotte Photography + Amber Events

Color. In a word, that basically sums up this absolutely stunning fiesta of a wedding celebration by Krista Malinin of Amber Events. Well, that and darling, gorgeous and festive. But there is so much color I can barely contain myself. That's what happens to New Englanders in the winter, we crave color - so I do believe I will be bookmarking this beauty for my daily dose. Looking at the work of...

Smog Shoppe Wedding by Love Ala Photography + Smog Shoppe

The Smog Shoppe in Los Angeles is one of my all time favorite venues. It's the perfect combination of elegance, style and total approachability and to be honest, some of the best weddings we've seen on SMP have come straight out of this fabulous venue. And this next one, photographed by Love Ala Photography, is at the top of our list. Not only is it completely...

Los Angeles Wedding by Amber Events + Natalie Moser

A Friday seems like the perfect home for this Los Angeles wedding. It is all about the fun, the love, the party and thus the perfect accompaniment to the pre-weekend festivities. The SmogShoppe played host to these color loving nuptials and Natalie Moser photographed it to perfection. Then there is the styling by...

DIY Wedding by Amy and Stuart, III

Just one last post from Vy's gorgeous DIY wedding. Check out the vintage inspired table numbers and different quotes tied to each napkin. This is the PERFECT way to get guests interacting at the dinner tables, by the way. I can just envision guests walking around the room trying to see what each person's napkin says. My personal favorite is the quote from Homer Simpson, "Can't Talk...Eating." I can so relate! Oh, and the bamboo plates and silverware are just too sweet! It just goes to show...

DIY Wedding by Amy and Stuart, II

Okay, now on to some of the insane details. I love, love, love every little thing about this wedding. From the vintage typewriter to the funky programs, to the completely understated but utterly sweet, fresh ring of lavender that the couple stood in while saying their vows. Oh, and please, please, check out the seating chart. So charming...

Lace wrapped vases and hand crafted candies in beautiful paper? Yes, please...Oh, and how about those heart...

DIY Wedding by Amy and Stuart

When Amy and Stuart first sent Vy and Michael's wedding my way, I have to admit, I thought, "talented brides like Vy make wedding designers like myself obsolete." I know that may sound extreme, but it's kind of true. And yet when I saw this perfect DIY affair really unfold, I couldn't contain myself. It's just so ridiculously gorgeous, so totally thoughtful, I couldn't help but fall in love. First up, let me just tease you with the...

Southern California Wedding by Steep Street Photography

I couldn't help but fall in love with this completely adorable wedding that Kelty over at Steep Street Photography sent our way. Aside from being held at one of the most fabulous So Cal venues, Smog Shoppe, it's also 100% personality. Which you know we really love.

We met as next door neighbors freshman year in the dorms at UC Berkeley and were best friends...

DIY Wedding with Gorgeous Style, II

Max Wanger is kind of a celebrity in the blog world. His blissfully dreamy photographs are beloved by bloggers and brides alike so when I saw his name in my inbox, my heart did a little flutter. And the wedding he sent didn't disappoint. The bride actually read SMP every day...so if we had even a tiny hand in the gorgeousness of this wedding, well...it's a proud day indeed!

My dress is by...

DIY Wedding with Gorgeous Style

I love featuring weddings like this one. Aside from being photographed by one of my all-time favorite artists, Max Wanger AND being coordinated by one of my all time favorite designers, Beth Helmstetter....this wedding was a total TLC affair. The bride pored herself into the details, into ensuring that their day refelected their own unique personalities, their own unique styles. And...
