Texas Weddings

A HUGE thank you to Brian and Stella Alesi for sending us today’s gorgeous wedding. It is proof that a wedding doesn’t need to be overly elaborate or styled to be stunning!

A quick little note about Brian and Stella Alesi…I recently was attending an event in Nashville, Tennessee and one of the girls that was an avid SMP reader approached me to chat about her upcoming wedding. She told me that she had fallen so in love with Brian and Stella’s work, she was planning on flying them in for her own affair. I though that was so sweet and such a testament to their talents!

Today we are looking at the art of an indoor wedding…finding chic ways to really beautify a space. I love this wedding that Brian and Stella Alesi sent me for the absolutely lovely details. It’s not over-the-top, it’s not overly designed. It’s simple and totally SMP…

Isn’t the cake everything I said it would be! Loving it like crazy. There are so many lovely details from today’s wedding…from the simple stone “place cards” to the minimalist tables. Every element just allows the gorgeous space to really sparkle.

A few tidbits from Brian Alesi, the photography behind this pretty affair…

This was a lovely wedding with a bride whose smile just knocked me out. Late May can already be hot in Texas, so this bride chose well when she decided to do both ceremony and reception at the Lakeway resort indoors. The ballroom in which the reception was held is mostly glass, so they were able to enjoy the fantastic scenery as the light change from day to evening. I loved that the tables didn’t need much in the way of centerpieces. The light from in room made the glassware and dishes just sparkle.

Today is all about chic, indoor affairs (for those of us that aren’t lucky enough to live on the coast of California).The insanely talented Brian and Stella Alesi sent me this one and I fell in love with the simple, joyful style. It’s a wedding that may not have been the most elaborate or the most luxuriously styled, but it’s pure loveliness nonetheless…

The bride and groom are just radiating happiness which is oftentimes the most beautiful element of the entire wedding. When you pair that with simple, gorgeous touches (like those stunning white tulips), the end result will always be flawless…

So much more to come from the reception…including the RIDICULOUSLY gorgeous cake. You are going to die when you see how perfect this cake is!

I mentioned yesterday that we would be featuring more indoor weddings over the next few weeks here on SMP.  Although I looooove the simple beauty of an outdoor affair, it’s often not hugely practical for brides in say, Texas or Ohio or well, most of the cities out there! So, I thought we could start sprinkling in a few really lovely affairs where the ceremony and/or the reception are safe and sound inside a fabulous indoor space!

This one was sent to me by the fabulous Brian and Stella Alesi out of Austin…

Leslie Nairn and Tommy Erwin were married this past May at Lakeway Resort in Lakeway, Texas. Since it’s often so hot in May in Texas, the couple decided to have both the ceremony and the reception indoors so their guests could just sit back and enjoy themselves….
