This Hill Country wedding makes me happy — plain and simple. From the glowing bride to the gorgeous pops of color, it’s like a recipe for a pretty with a sense of homey intimacy woven in along the way. Christine Sargologos Photography captured every sweet moment to perfection, and you can find it all sitting right here.
From Christine... I could photograph weddings like this every weekend. When I met Kari & Chris they told me they were planning a celebration that would be intimate, fun and authentic. Though they live in Dallas they chose to marry just outside San Antonio at a beautiful family estate near Canyon Lake. Cara Salom, a friend, officiated.
The rambling ranch-style home was designed for entertaining. It has plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces to lounge and its modern glass and metal facade sits high in the Texas Hill Country. Perfect for a summer party. With only 50 guests, a mix of family and close friends, Kari focused on a few essentials: delicious food, incredible flowers and the perfect gown. I loved that their entire color inspiration came from Chris’ tie, and that Kari potted all of the succulent centerpieces with her girlfriends. Lending to the relaxed and cheerful mood, Kari & Chris opted for a standing ceremony (complete with their Black Lab, Chole) and one long, shared dinner table for guests. As dinner ended and the sun went down they shared a first dance and some cheesecake. Everyone danced, drank wine, wrote well wishes to the couple and ended the night under the big Texas sky. It was perfect.
