Infusing rustic, natural details into a modern meets glamorous affair can prove difficult for some, but not for these two lovelies.  Nope, with the help of Monarch Planning and Weddings in Bloom, they turned The Grove Houston into a succulent-filled glam fest, complete with pink and gray accents, contemporary (DIY) stylings and some VERY yummy looking cakes from Dessert Gallery.  Basically, it’s like the prettiest thing you’ve ever seen.  Don’t miss a moment captured by Mustard Seed Photography in the full gallery.

From the Bride… We met at a party in college when we both attended Tulane. New Orleans, a city that we both adore, provided an amazing backdrop for falling in love. One rainy February morning, Cat called me to come outside, alleging that he had hurt his knee. True to form, I said “I don’t think I’ll be able to pick you up… should I call someone else?” Once he finally convinced me to make the long journey downstairs, our dog (Steve) came running up to me and led me around the corner, where Cat was waiting, ring in hand.

Our advice would be to let your personal preferences guide you, rather than what you see on blogs. Don’t lose sight of what the day is really about – celebrating your commitment to each other!
