I have no qualms about admitting that I am the HUGEST fan of succulents. In fact, I would probably marry them if I could. So I, of course, jumped at the chance to feature this lovely wedding sent to us by Clayton Austin because not only is it gorgeous but it happens to be bursting from the seams with succulents. Texas, Succulents, unique color palette = happy blogger. Be sure to hop on over to the gallery for more of this winning combination.

My inspiration for the wedding was my Enzoani wedding dress. I fell in love with it the moment I saw it. It’s the first dress I tried on and the second I put it on I knew that I had to have it. I wanted something different but still classic enough that I wouldn’t look back in five years and think my dress was too trendy. The black, silver and taupe of the belt would become the perfect wedding color palette.

I love modern flower designs with lots of texture so when I told Trisha Bennett with Visual Lyrics that I wanted flowers in black, silver and taupe she was really excited. We looked through books together and picked flowers with lots of texture in that color palette. I loved the idea of having 5 different shaped vases with different textured flowers in them as the centerpieces.

Overall, Mitch and I wanted a unique and creative wedding that was “us”. We wanted our ceremony to be sentimental and personal so we picked all the music that we both loved for the processional and recessional. My uncle wrote us a very personal poem about Mitch being a man of the elements because he’s a fire fighter and me being a women of the light because I’m a photographer. It was beautiful and one of my favorite moments of the day. My grandfather was the officiant which was also very special. After the ceremony we wanted the rest of the night to be really fun for our guests. We had fun props and an amazing DJ who made everyone rush to the dance floor. Our guests also raved about the photo booth.

We love succulents too! It's been an inspiration for favors for a lot of weddings this summer. I also love the brides Vivienne Westwood flats - it's the perfect complement to her gown with the black floral applique! The flower girl dresses are a perfect match too!

What a cool wedding!!! Such an unexpected color palette. I really love the fabrics used in both the linens and the bridesmaids dresses. The mix of floral textures and succulents is brilliant... and the bride is stunning in her gorgeous gown. Kudos to all and the photography that captured it!!!

What a gorgeous wedding! I love the color and feel of this so much. If someone involved with this wedding pops on here, I'd love to know where they got those great bridesmaid necklaces. I've been looking for something just like them for my girls. Thanks!

Love the modern, organic vibe- especially the succulents arranged in the earthy-yet-elegant wood boxes. Just did this very similar inspiration board: http://notes.camillestyles.com/2010/07/26/monochromatic-monday-agave-sand/
    - Obviously I am also having a major succulent moment this summer!

I'm an Austin bride myself (living in San Jose CA) and I think she did a great job on this wedding! I can attest to her excellent choice in vendors. I also got my Enzoani dress from Blush Bridal - GREAT bridal salon, really. My hair stylist and make up artist are also Jenn Hoover and Maris Malone Calderon - both so helpful, fabulous and the best at what they do! Michelle's Patisserie will do my cake, too. :) Love it!

Love the succulents! The bridesmaids' bouquets are interesting too....this wedding has a very interesting, unique style, it seems modern but with a vintage classic twist. I love the black chairs and dark decor-very romantic and chic. The bride and groom look like a beautiful couple, I love the picture of them posing in front of the vintage car! Gorgeous, gorgeous wedding.

Wow, What a romantic wedding, what a creative wedding setting. I was fascinated with the mermaid style of wedding dresses, they are so beautiful, and I love it.

I'm the bride. I designed the whole wedding. I'm a wedding photographer so it was a pretty easy task for me. I go to weddings every weekend so I knew exactly what I wanted. I got the Vivienne Westwood shoes on Zappos. I got the bridesmaid's necklaces at Charming Charlie's. My wonderful husband helped me pick them out.

Congratulations Christina! I love the flowers, they're so unique. You tied everything in beautifully from the dress to the table tops.

[...] When it comes to choosing your dress, there are so many style options it can be a little overwhelming! We’ve already blogged about the extravagant ball gown and the curve-hugging sheath, so how about exploring an option that has the best of both worlds? Mermaid dresses provide an amazing advantage that you can’t get with any other type of dress: a full-length ball gown effect with a form-fitting top that shows off your beautiful figure!
