We just had to show you some more shots from one of the Cakelava weddings featured earlier today. The event took place at the Paul Mitchell Estate in Kailua. Cassandra & David Dieterle served as wedding consultants for this couple and orchestrated the entire thing … and what an amazing wedding it was! Apparently, they used a number of Style Me Pretty’s inspiration boards for ideas and color palettes. Working with a team of local wedding vendors (many LBB members!) they created this fabulous fete.

The details in this wedding are just spectacular and even though you may not be lucky enough to have such an amazing Hawaiian location for your event, you definitely should tag these details as awesome.

Just listen to these flavors …{Chai Latte} Layers of fragrant chai spiced cake filled with cinnamon mascarpone cream, {Broke da Mouth} Vibrant colored mango cake with mango Li hing mui curd and cream filling, {Bananarama} Layers of banana cake filled with caramel cream, chopped fresh banana and chocolate ganache, Lemon Pucker} Zesty lemon cake filled with pulpy lemon curd and lemon mousse, {Guava Lava} Pretty pink guava cake filled with guava jam and fresh guava cream … the list goes on and on … mmmmmmmmm.

Wedding Shoes … A Different Perspective

It’s no secret that brides obsess about their wedding shoes. This simple fact is splashed across all the blogs. So what more can we say?

But then … we saw the next shots taken by Robin Dini (row one) and Kristin Karzmit (rows two and three). Pictured is one of SMP’s Little Black Book members, Steve DePino … composing a couple of tricky shoe-shots … (found ‘em on Steve’s blog). Wow, we knew that being a photographer took true creativity, but this is a whole new perspective!

ooooooohhh….so that’s how they do it! Isn’t art grand? Seriously, Steve’s work is grand.
