Well, we gave you a sneek peak of Rose’s to-die-for Vera Wang gown last night {here}. This is what Rose had to say about it …

I shopped one day for dresses. I knew pretty quickly that this dress was the one. I tried on more to be sure, but knew I’d probably end up with that first dress. It’s a Vera Wang, although that’s not why I bought it at all, it just happened to be the dress that fit me the best. It was flattering, gave me a waist where I don’t really have one and it seemed unusual.

Isn’t that the way it goes so much of the time? The first dress you try on!

Laura Kleinhenz, founder and principal photographer at Docuvitae shot today’s wedding in Malibu at the breath-taking Stone Manor venue.

But before we get to the details of the day, a few really sweet ‘getting ready’ shots that will make you feel like you were in the room…

Uh-oh …it appears that Rose is going to have a tough time getting through the day without the flood of emotion that often accompanies the moment … I can almost hear them saying “breathe … breathe …”

… and another pretty lady preparing for this special day …

But this little guy nearly steals the show (all day long)!

Real Wedding ~ Karina and Nehal at the St. Regis

There are none more fascinating or vibrantly rich in tradition as a classic Hindu wedding. SO filled with meaning and overflowing with symbolism. Karina & Nehal’s wedding celebration, sent to us by our Little Black Book ~ Orange County Wedding Consultant ~ Stephanie Lairson is about as good as it gets!

Karina and Nehal were married at the St. Regis in Monarch Beach last fall. I can’t even begin to imagine how long it must take to plan a celebration like this! As Abby would say, “Sheer gorgeousness!”

Ooohh her shoes! Here’s a story from their fabulous photographer, Ryan Phillips’ Blog …

*Brides note about the shoes – Christian Louboutin Beverly Hills – I saw a photo of these shows in Vogue over a year before the wedding. I had to have them! I was on the hunt. I went to 2 shops in New York and checked Neimans and Saks. I was coming back from a meeting one day in Beverly Hills and I saw the Christian Louboutin store on Burton Way. I decided to pop in and there they were – glowing in the window. I bought the very last pair – luckily they were my size! Apparently they made very few of this style and they sold out fast. I wanted to wear them so badly that I wore them around the house so I wouldn’t get the bottoms scuffed – they waited a whole year to make their debut!

{We also read on Ryan’s blog that the design of her reception clothing was inspired by these shoes! Pretty great.}

What an amazing venue … what an amazing couple … kind of makes me want to break into a My Fair Lady song …

Real Wedding At The Biltmore Estate: Nisha and Jay, II

Today, we are featuring Nisha and Jay’s spectacular wedding sent to us by Woodward+Rick Photographers. Brian and Gry are a husband and wife team based out of Asheville, North Carolina but they also shoot in South Carolina, Georgia and Florida (and LOVE to travel!). Their images … from the littlest details to the biggest emotions … are simply awesome!

Nisha and Jay were married in September ’08 at the Biltmore Estate. When you think of a tented reception, wow! Fit for royalty!

The colors used in this wedding are nothing short of extraordinary! Pairing the rich reds and corals with the golden orange hues is so beautiful.

All of the fabulous flowers were done by Blossoms at Biltmore Park. And the cake! LOVE the cake … by the Biltmore Estate bakers. The whole thing was planned by Little Black Book event planner, Nicole Riley at Verge Events. Oh my gosh … this was a fabulous celebration and the details were simply stunning.

Look at the way the placecards are arranged in a bed of crystal glitz! ADORE …

We just heard from Nisha ….

I did the invitation design myself. I found the images that I wanted to use (the paisley, etc), bought the rights to it, had a graphics firm do the layout on the stationery I chose, and used The Baggie Goose to print the final pieces. If you’ll notice, the same motif is on the cake, the border of the bridesmaid saris, the placecards, the menu, and even projected as an image on the dancefloor! I really like branding, so I had a lot of fun with it.

The saris that these lovely ladies are wearing were purchased in India by Nisha’s mom. Nisha’s gown is designed by Lazaro.

Jay, the oh-so handsome groom, appears to be every photographer’s dream! The emotions on his face that Brian and Gry captured throughout the day are simply priceless.

Today’s elegant wedding ceremony took place in the Walled Garden at the Biltmore. The celebration that followed was in the Italian Garden. The Biltmore Estate is about as spectacular as it gets for a wedding venue! For more of Nisha & Jay’s wedding, take a look at their slideshow!

Brian, Gry and Nicole ~ truly brilliant! We feel very fortunate that you guys are part of our Little Black Book of select wedding professionals.

We started the day by telling you about what great people we think Brian and Gry (a.k.a., Woodward + Rick) are. We feel it only fitting to close with a quote from their website that sums up their philosophy …
