Real Wedding: Ashley and Allen, III

May 27th. 2009 by Abby Larson | 8 comments

I have to admit. I have this thing for really beautiful couples. Not necessarily pretty people, but really beautiful people who have that inner glow we all covet. It's those kinds of couples that make for the best photographs, the most romantic, the most joyful, the most stunning images. So, when you put today's couple together with the fabulousness that is Our Labor of Love, the result is well...perfection.[MORE]

Real Wedding: Ashley and Allen, II

On to the absolutely beautiful ceremony from today's featured affair. The wedding took place in Charleston, South Carolina so obviously, it was gorgeous. But, what I love the most about the day was the completely candid love that the bride and groom showed...not only for each other, but also for the family and friends that they hosted. I love that. Sigh. So, so beautiful. The photographs shot by Our Labor of Love tell the... [MORE]

Real Wedding: Ashley and Allen

May 27th. 2009 by Abby Larson | 6 comments

The minute I laid eyes on today's featured wedding, I knew that I had to have it. It screams Style Me Pretty, with the pretty details, the hopelessly romantic bride and groom and the chic, but completely approachable style. Plus, it's yellow, which is my new favorite color. Our Labor of Love is the absolute genius behind the photographs... I could go on and on about... [MORE]

Real Wedding: Uta and Bruce, III

April 29th. 2009 by Abby Larson | 1 comment

Thank you so much to Jesse and Whitney, the fabulous team behind Our Labor of Love photography, for sharing this ridiculously lovely wedding with us. I have to admit, I was feeling a little burnt out today, a little tired in general. But, seeing the pure joy behind today's affair picked me right up. It's a good reminder as to what a wedding is all about. And a huge congratulations to Bruce and Uta...may you... [MORE]

Real Wedding: Uta and Bruce, II

April 29th. 2009 by Abby Larson | 0 comments

The best part about today's featured affair is by far the kids. They are so stinking cute. Having parents that encouraged them to kick off their shoes, run around and get a little dirty is the icing on this gorgeous wedding cake. Kids just innately bring joy to whatever they do. It's in their genetic make-up or something. And although having a screeching baby belt one out in the middle of your vows isn't exactly ideal, if you have the space for the little ones to run around and... [MORE]

Real Wedding: Uta and Bruce

April 29th. 2009 by Abby Larson | 20 comments

Most days, I try to feature weddings that are really detail driven...that give you solid inspiration and ideas for your own affair.  But today, I am instead going a little sentimental and sharing a wedding that is completely family driven. When I saw these photographs that Our Labor of Love shot, I completely fell in love. With the couple, with the kids, with the incredibly photography. It's a wedding after my own heart, where family... [MORE]

In my opinion, Ritzy Bee is one of the prettiest wedding blogs out there...Maria always features the loveliest details, from perfect flowers to cakes and decor that will make your heart swoon. So when I saw her favorite wedding, filled with the most wonderful details, I wasn't surprised in the slightest... This gorgeous wedding was photographed by Little Black Book member... [MORE]

Margaux and Beck Take Four

December 1st. 2008 by Theresa | 0 comments

I am so excited to show you the last photos from Margaux and Beck's quasi-nuptials! This is a couple who is full of surprises, and they just kept coming throughout the reception...check it out! So those people you see dancing on the bar, they were the caterers! As soon as the desserts were served they jumped up on the bar and broke it down just to make sure the party was in high gear! Margaux and Beck even handed out little Oscar statuettes to the "film-makers" that helped make... [MORE]

Margaux & Beck Take Three

December 1st. 2008 by Theresa | 0 comments

If you thought today's earlier posts, shot by Our Labor of Love, of Margaux and Beck's amazing wedding were fun, wait until you see the way they partied the night away with friends and family! That's right, they were hula hooping through their reception, how much fun is that?! Margaux and Beck also asked their friends to compile videos of the couple especially for the wedding, they then held a screening during the... [MORE]

Margaux & Beck Take Two

December 1st. 2008 by Theresa | 2 comments

More beautiful photos from Margaux and Beck's gorgeous not-so-real-wedding, courtesy of Jesse and Whitney at Our Labor of Love! I am absolutely loving the way Jesse and Whitney used the natural lighting in these photos to totally play up the drama. Also, how gorgeous is the backdrop of Union Station in Los Angeles? I've heard the architecture there is awesome, and it certainly looks it from these photos. Oh, and wait until you see how... [MORE]

Margaux & Beck Take One

December 1st. 2008 by Theresa | 2 comments

Today's posts are from our friends Whitney and Jesse at Our Labor of Love and they are definitely some of the most fun I've seen. Margaux and Beck, the featured couple, were uncomfortable with the terms usually associated with marriage. They felt that even the word "marriage" sounded institutional, so they made their own day...calling it "The Twenty-First Day of the Month", which also happened to be the day they had their first date! This couple... [MORE]

Pink Week’s Photographers, VIII

October 13th. 2008 by Abby Larson | 6 comments

Our next pink inspired photographs are by the amazingly talented Whitney and Jesse of Our Labor of Love in Atlanta. The cupcake and the candy shots actually made me go out and buy doughnuts this morning! I love the vivid pink from this color palette...strawberry pink paired with bubblegum pink paired with a more raspberry hue. It's a shock of color but one that just works! Pink is a perfect color to use on a candy buffet... [MORE]
