Ballroom Wedding with Luxe Style

I know that you guys are desperate for some cool, not-your-standard-ballroom-wedding Ballroom Weddings. Well today, I come bearing ballroom gifts that I know you are going to LOVE. Perhaps a little more luxurious than many of you are planning but I am pretty sure you will all find inspiration, despite your budget, thanks to the ridiculously gorgeous teal and orange color palette and the super cool details. Held at the FAB Montage Laguna Beach (and I mean FAB), there are so many little tidbits to obsess over here. The horse motif (which I love), the silver urns at varying heights (so insanely chic), the beautiful and modern palette, the draping, the black gloss flooring, the pendant lamps, the tulips resting on each place setting. This is ballroom done WAY right. Here are a few words from the team at R. Jack Balthazar…

The ballroom at the beautiful Montage Resort is transformed into a warm and inviting setting for this chic wedding… cozy banquette sofas are used as seating at some tables, while others are set with upholstered slipper chairs… Daybed lounges are set in the corners of the room… differently shaped tables are all dressed in different luxe linens and tables abound with inspired containers overflowing with flowers in a palette of white and sunset orange and collected objets d’art.

Chic, Orange and Teal Bash, II

I know that all of you girls who are sick to death of rustic weddings are LOVING this. I for one thing it’s fabulous and the bold color palette is pretty great. But really, it’s the orange favors that are making me completely giddy. They are total perfection! This wedding was designed by our incredible Little Black Book members, Your BASH!

More from the bride…

For the color scheme, we chose a bold, bright orange and a rich turquoise as the central colors, with silver and gray as accents. Brian and Jaime from YourBASH! chose the most amazing fabrics and linens that complimented and enriched the color palette, and from there found ways to incorporate throughout the day.

Brian and Jaime came up with creative details that wove the our invitation design throughout the entire wedding day and evening. Paper fans with programs affixed to the front of them offered up the ceremony details, as well as a refreshing breeze as the guests filtered in the formal gardens. Chinese paper lanterns strung over the altar provided shade without having to spend thousands on floral arrangements. Color-coordinated wait staff with silk ties that greeted guests with fresh lemonade and water, and refills glasses as needed.

The cocktail hour and sit-down dinner reception were equally as beautiful, taking place in the Inner Courtyard of Greystone. After a phenomenal dinner catered by Alligator Pear, meaningful toasts and the cutting of the cake, designed by Rosebud Cakes, the guests headed to another location where a more casual after-party resumed the festivities well into the night.

Rehearsal Dinner by Aaron Delesie, II

The color palette is what really sold me on this rehearsal dinner that Aaron Delesie sent me. It’s the definition of perfection…a subtle teal blue, a washed out orange and a crisp white. Ahhh, it just doesn’t get any better! Throw in a few pretty blankets, some adirondack chairs and lovely lanterns and you have the best version of campside elegance.

The green, mossy centerpieces are the perfect element of texture against the blue linens…they add a more organic feel to the styling that I love. The whole rehearsal is simply stunning and I am willing to bet that it got even better as the day turned to dusk and all the candles lit the evening with the perfect glow!

Thank you, thank you, thank you Aaron and Jen! This just might be the very best rehearsal dinner I have ever seen!
