Sylvie is a genius behind the lens (check out the links at the bottom of the post) and really did a beautiful job with this wedding...managing to capture the pure love and romance... [MORE]

Love, love, love this modern, Healdsburg affair that the ever-talented Sylvie Gil sent us. The venue itself is enough to make me book a ticket tonight, with its contemporary style and California chic vibe. So much more to... [MORE]
It's so interesting to me, that you can have a really similar venue...a winery for example...and come up with two totally different wedding styles. It's the reason that I always encourage you to find a venue that suits your personality and style, so that you can easily build a wedding around it. If today's earlier wedding was easy going elegance, this next one is more modern and styled. And I LOVE it. ... [MORE]
I wanted to share a few more images and details from the Napa Valley wedding that Lauri Levenfeld shot... More details from the bride... During the ceremony, the officiant, a retired judge who is a family friend and who also happened to be my trial advocacy teacher in law school, remarked that our first encounter reminded him of the song “Some Enchanted Evening” from South Pacific. This inspired our... [MORE]
Today we are celebrating the launch of our Destination Guide, the Little Black Book's newest addition. Continuing on with the real wedding by Sasha Souza Events! *** Because April brings unpredictable weather, cocktails were held in a clear tent on the grounds of the winery. Guests were treated to a variety of specialty hors d’oeuvres such as lobster cones with caviar, chilled pea soup with crab stuffed green peas and cheve wine country wontons with apricot dipping sauce – they also indulged on cheese... I thought that you guys could help me tackle some of the Ask Abby (we are changing the name from Dear Abby so as not to get confused with the real deal "Dear Abby") questions that have been building up in my inbox. The last few weeks of questions have focused on color palettes, though in reality, wedding colors are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to tough decisions couples make throughout the wedding planning process. Here are a few brides that have hit stumbling blocks along the... [MORE]

Here are a few more photos from today's featured wedding shot by Jessamyn Harris... I have to say, this is one of the best weddings that I have seen lately...it's so very important for couples to infuse their wedding with their own unique personality and perspective. One of my favorite photographers, Jessamyn Harris, sent me this wedding a few days ago...needless to say, I went completely nuts. This is the perfect example of a fun loving couple, infusing their personalities into otherwise elegant affair. The end result is a wedding that screams fun and yet is still oh-so-chic... Event Design was done by the lovely and talented Alicia at... [MORE]
