I’m not really a tattoo kind of girl myself…but I have this weird love affair with tattooed brides. Something about the rock ‘n roll style meets frilly white wedding dress just makes me happy. And THIS bride just happens to be drop dead gorgeous so the whole shebang is pure awesomeness. Jeremy Lawson, the brilliant photographer behind these images, really lucks out with his pretty, pretty brides!

Jeremy’s photographs ALWAYS give me the butterflies. And I normally say “OHHHHH!” out loud the minute that I open one of his emails. His work is just soulful. It’s got that special sauce that is so unique to Jeremy, that extra something that the finest photographs are made of. And I love that he is willing to share them with us on SMP!

Vintage Rock ‘n Roll Wedding by Jeremy Lawson

I fell madly in love with Jeremy Lawson’s work when we featured the oh-so-charming Iowa wedding that he shot the other day. Well, this wedding is just as great. Just as funky, just as smile inducing. Jeremy has a way about photography…his work is a little bit dark and mysterious, a little bit light and lovely. You can really see that there is a story behind every shot, a little piece of emotion in every image. I love that.

From Jeremy…

Dan and Christine met at a restaurant in Chicago called Avec, where Christine works…in the exact spot that the last pictures shows. They were married in a flower & home boutique called Asrai Gardens, then the reception was held down the street at a The Violet Hour an ultra-lux lounge and cocktail mecca.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to Jeremy Lawson for sharing some of the happiest, prettiest, all together awesome-est photos I’ve ever seen. We actually have another wedding from Jeremy coming up later in the week that is equally as great!

Iowa Charm by Jeremy Lawson, III

Jeremy Lawson is a genius behind the lens, bottom line. But even better…he is one lucky photographer. Not only did he score the most amazingly gorgeous bride and groom, he got to fly out to Iowa to document the entire, brilliantly charming wedding. I am actually a little jealous of him right now!

So, like I mentioned earlier, the bride and her mother did all of the flowers themselves. They even fashioned a BOOT-onniere for the groom to wear! How cute is THAT??

After the wedding, the pair headed to the actual field of dreams to take some pictures. They had their first dance in the fields and spent some time being cuter than I ever thought was humanly possible!

I know that I talk and talk and TALK about details. I love perfect wedding details with all of my heart. It’s the details that make me excited to come and write about weddings everyday, so really…I can’t say it enough. BUT. Every now and then, it’s so awesome to see a wedding that is completely and totally about the love. Completely and totally about the couple, the family and the celebration.

And, that’s not to say that this bride didn’t infuse the affair with some pretty awesome touches…it’s just that the passion seems to be the main event. Just as it should be.

Jeremy Lawson snapped these absolutely incredible photographs and really, this is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Jeremy’s talents. I know that he was loving shooting this wedding too, as there is personality tucked into every image.

Oh and a few more details about the affair…the bride wore a J. Crew dress and had her make-up done by Nika Vaughan in Chicago. The reception was held at Yummy Gourmet Cakes. LOTS more on the way!

Iowa Charm by Jeremy Lawson

I am not embarrassed to admit that I squealed with glee when I saw this wedding that the hugely talented Jeremy Lawson sent me. It’s absolute perfection…kind of a backyard celebration with a model’s chic spin. Both the bride and the groom are models in Chicago, though they opted to host their affair in the bride’s hometown in Iowa.

Although it’s not detail heavy…who cares! The bride and the groom are so completely adorable, there pure joy is literally infectious.

Here are a few details from Jeremy Lawson…

Ashley and Brian are both models in Chicago (as you can see, they are a very photogenic couple!). This was a very simple ceremony and reception at the bride’s hometown in Iowa. The bride and her mother did the flowers and decorations; the bride sprinkled pennies around her front porch, where the ceremony was held, for good luck. The dessert reception was held at a candy and cake shop in Fairfield, Iowa.

So much more fun to come from this delicious wedding!
