From Inspiration to Reality – Challenge 2!

We had such a blast with our From Inspiration to Reality Challenge that we’ve decided to make it a regular feature on SMP! We have vendors lined up from now until February who are super excited to turn your inspiration boards into a real life photo shoot, complete with tons of inspirations and ideas that can be translated into a perfect wedding. Leading up our next team is Agnes Lopez, a brilliant photographer out of the Southeast. Together with Liza Chung (event designer and florist) and Eric Torres (cinematography), the team is going to choose their favorite Style Circle inspiration board to bring to life!

You can design your board based on any theme that you want…from rustic chic to modern elegance. Agnes and Crew will choose the winner this Monday, November 9th. To enter, head on over to the Style Circle and create an inspiration board. Make sure to title your board INSPIRATION CHALLENGE #2 to be considered an entry. If you don’t already have a Style Circle account, now’s the time! Can’t wait to see what you guys come up with!

Style Circle Guru!

I’m still completely in awe of Jessica Claire’s wedding Abby featured last week so I couldn’t resist sharing this inspiration board created by Colette on the Style Circle. I think the best part about this board is how she used Jessica’s colors for her inspiration. I love that she didn’t try to recreate the entire look of the event but that he used certain aspects of the wedding to make this gorgeous board with beautiful J.Crew bridesmaids dresses as the centerpiece.

Style Circle Guru!

I’ve been on a little fall kick lately, but I’m going to break my habit for a bit, because I have to share this fabulous inspiration board from Style Circle member and bride-to-be, Lizy. Not only is the board super cute, but Lizy designed it based on her something blue… her adorable J.Crew bridal shoes. There are SO many decisions to make when it comes to a wedding, that if you can put together a few pieces of the puzzle early on, it really helps all the other parts come together. Inspiration can come from anywhere, so roll with it! For some people it’s the venue, for some brides it’s their favorite flower, for others it’s the dress, and for many of you… it might just be the shoes. And from the way this board turned out… I don’t think you can go wrong.

Style Circle Guru!

There is never any issue finding gorgeous board designs on the Style Circle these days… the only hard part is trying to picking just one to share! So, in honor of the first day of October, here is an apple-picking, playing-in-the-leaves, sweater-wearing, kind of autumn, Inspiration Board. Created by Style Circle member, Anne-Cecile, this board might make you want to run out and carve a pumpkin.

Style Circle Standout Inspiration Boards

Along with some pretty great blogs, the Style Circle brides are churning out some of the best inspiration boards I’ve ever seen. Many of them give the boards we’ve featured on SMP a run for their money, so I wanted to highlight a few of my absolute favs…

Pinga’s boards are nothing but gorgeous. I have no clue which one of hers is my favorite because they are all so stinking great. Here is one that just leaps off the page…

And keeping with that same teal hue, this time with touches of yellow, I love, love, love everything about Kristine’s charming Inspiration Board…

And okay, I just have to feature one more of Pinga’s absolutely ADORABLE blogs. I literally want to jump inside of each one and set up shop. If my every day life could look this cute, I would be one really happy lady!

So…we are constantly on the lookout for really great inspiration boards over on the Style Circle. An inspiration board is the very FIRST place you should start when planning your wedding. It will help you hone your vision, bringing a sense of cohesion to your wedding style. It will be a continually changing tool that will allow you to weed out your many loves and come up with a really focused look and style for your wedding. One that you can bring to your planner, your florist, your best friend so that everyone understands the look you are trying to achieve!

Style Circle Guru!

As you probably know by now the Style Circle is a wonderful destination for ideas and insight. But I hope you also know it’s not just for brides. We love that the Style Circle is also filled with tons of wedding experts and LBB vendors who willingly share their inspiration with the rest of us. This board, designed by artist and style aficionado Ginger, is full of eye candy from special events guru Amy Atlas. We’ve featured Amy’s dreamy creations several times on SMP, so it’s great to see her work being used as bridal shower inspiration for another wedding enthusiast.

I LOVE this board. Modern, clean, and absolutely delicious. I’m suddenly feeling like I need a sugar fix… Keep up the fabulous work Style Circle Gurus. We always have our eyes peeled for great blogs and boards.

Style Circle Guru!

So, we realize there are a LOT of places for inspiration and advice these days, but sometimes it’s best just to go straight to the horse’s mouth. Chat with the newly engaged, the recently married, and real wedding pros. Enter, the Style Circle. One of our favorite (and might I add, pretty cool) features on the Style Circle is the Inspiration Board builder. It’s a great way to experiment with different styles, looks, colors, etc… So every so often we like to show off the fabulous boards we’ve seen and the talented bloggers behind them.

This board from ms. u is just one of several awesome boards she has created on her blog. This one is all about rustic elegance, but yesterday she created a completely Marie Antoinette-styled board. Loving the variety. Thanks ms. u!

Style Circle Fabulous!

As most of you know by now, we launched our latest baby, the Style Circle, last week. Well, to date, our style savvy brides have designed well over 1000 inspiration boards ! Pretty awesome, right?

Well, I thought that I would honor a few more of my favs starting with this gorgeous board that Taylor designed…

Style Circle Highlights, II

Here are a few more bits of perfection from our real brides over on the Style Circle! First up, this totally dreamy rustic, chic board that Laura designed…

Next up, this incredible Summer Garden Wedding that the lovely and talented Morgan designed. I would kill to attend a wedding like this one, with sweet details and an effortlessly chic style…

And finally, the board that yours truly did last night…filled with images from an AMAZING Lisa Vorce wedding that Jose Villa captured. One of my all time favorite weddings.

Bottom line people? The Style Circle is literally exploding with inspiration. We have actually set up a page filled to the brim with all of the inspiration boards and the number is well over 700!! In just a few days! So, there are ideas galore to be had over on the circle…all you have to do is sign up.

I know, a shameless plug. But I am just such a proud mama right now, I can’t help it!

Style Circle Highlights!

I thought that this afternoon, we could take a little bit of time to share some of the total awesomeness that is happening over at the Style Circle! Brides are blogging, creating inspiration boards and generally going wedding crazy (which makes me really, really happy)…proving once and for all that a style-savvy wedding community is a definite must-have.
