I’ve been waiting all week to show you lovelies this engagement session. It’s bordering on embarrassing how much I’m crushing on this couple. And not just because they are amazingly adorable and fantastic photographers. But also because of this stinkin’ cute proposal. You see, they hired some of our faves, bobbi+mike, to take a few promotional photos for their website. Little did Mae know Bryan had a little something up his sleeve. And I think it’s the perfect ending to this perfect week of pretty, pretty weddings. I might just have the perfect beginning (their wedding!) to next week stewing, so make sure you pop in nice and early… xoxo

Christmas Engagement Session from Studio This Is + Clementine Custom Events

It might be that Bing Crosby is crooning about chestnuts roasting, or maybe it’s the yummy eggnog in my hands, or even the smell of evergreen flowing softly through my house… but honestly, we all know it’s this adorable couple, picking their Christmas tree, in this engagement session from Studio This Is + Clementine Custom Events that has got the Christmas Spirit on full blast on this side of the computer. And because we are getting ready to bid farewell for the holiday weekend, we knew it was time to share this fantastic Christmassy sesh with you – so the Christmas Spirit can amp up on your side of the computer. Zack and I met in high school and have been together since (eight and a half years!). One of the best aspects about celebrating our engagement is that all of our family and friends know us, not only as individuals, but as a couple! We met in the training room of our high school gym (during fall sports season) – which is fitting because being active together has been a consistent part of our relationship. In fact, Zack proposed while we were on a long hike in Utah over Fourth of July weekend!

We spend a lot of time outdoors (warm or cold, rain or shine!) so we wanted to have our engagement photoshoot outside. With the weather changing, Jeremy and Katie at StudioThis Is decided to stage a Christmas-inspired shoot and we were up for anything! The session was very fun and relaxed – it turned into a very memorable day!

Since we are both from Chicago and we wanted to have an outdoor wedding, the Chicago Botanic Garden was the perfect location for both our ceremony and reception. We’re really looking forward to working with Jeremy and Katie at StudioThisIs this summer!

New York City Engagement Session from Captured Photography by Jenny

Rise and shine LBBers! This Manhattan couple is so chic, they seriously could have just walked out of a glossy magazine. In fact, these gorgeous images from Captured Photography by Jenny exude such a glamour that we all feel like we should be putting on our fancy pants just to spend a little time with this gorgeous couple in the city that never sleeps. So when you’ve put on your sparkly stilettos, you can meet me and my fancy pants in the full image gallery for even more of this stunning engagement sesh!

Jonathan and I chose to have some of our engagement photographs done in Central Park, as it is a tranquil spot but you still see the sweeping skylines of New York City in the background. It is romantic and features some of the most amazing scenery in New York City with its natural woods, lakes and walking tracks. It is one of our favorite spots to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.

Times Square is a quintessential New York City location. We also chose this site as Times Square represents the energetic lifestyle we live on a day to day basis. Bright lights, tall buildings and tons of people encompass the world we live in.

My first look was a white silk Diane von Furstenberg dress. I wore a black Balenciaga dress in her second look with Christian Louboutin shoes. Jonathan wore a Charles Tyrwhitt button down with a charcoal Theory blazer and jeans.

The session was extremely fun! We really connected with Jenny, our photographer. As the shoot progressed, we just became more and more comfortable with her. It was great to be able to relax and just have fun.

We’re entering the holiday home stretch, LBBers, and I’m sure some of your winter weddings are now upon us. Let me just say – I’m so excited. I love this time of year as much as the next elf, and the fact that some of you lovely brides and grooms might be getting married THIS weekend under a big bunch of mistletoe expands that smile on my face tenfold. And so does this Idaho engagement sesh from Tana Photography. As much as I’m loving the twinkle lights and evergreen smell that are all around me today, this shoot makes me long for a nice long walk in a rural field. There’s one defining moment in a relationship that loudly announces that this person is the one for you. Taking Danielle to my family farm for the first time was that moment. We’d been dating for six months and she had yet to meet my family. Once I saw how seamlessly she fit in, there was no doubt that she was the one for me. The farm is about family, hard work, and overcoming any adversity that may fall before you. When asked where I wanted to take our engagement pictures I could not imagine taking them anywhere else because the farm is everything that I am, and everything that I hope to give to Danielle in marriage.
