DIY Table Runners

November 17th. 2009 by Abby Larson | 14 comments

AS promised, we have a great DIY project for you inspired by Cara and Spencer’s incredible tablescapes. I love, love, love the organic elegance behind the wedding day design and aside from perfect flowers, it’s the table runners that give the tables texture and style.

DIY Fall Wedding Inspirations

November 9th. 2009 by Abby Larson | 27 comments

When I said that we have a week of pretty on SMP, I definitely wasn’t doing this feature justice. It’s the prettiest inspiration you’ve ever seen and is sure to give you those butterflies that you get when you know you hit the wedding jackpot. Designed by Jenny Steffens of Occasions by Jenny, this is Fall inspiration with a soft, totally girly approach. And I love every bit of it. And to make it even sweeter, Jenny is...

Table Number DIY Project

November 5th. 2009 by Abby Larson | 7 comments

This is not so much a DIY project as a really simple idea…using brown bags filled with fruit as either a table number OR as seating cards. Depending on the size of the bag that you buy, you can use these little treats in different ways. Either approach is just a really adorable way to bring a bit of charm to your table. This DIY is for seating cards, but really…it’s super easy to translate this project in lots of different ways.

Please note, we kept our bags without...

Homemade Pie Favors

November 5th. 2009 by Abby Larson | 9 comments

Okay! Now on to the pies themselves. This was probably the easiest thing that I have ever done and coming from the world’s worst baker (I swear, I’m not exaggerating)…that really says a lot. I fully admit that I cheated and bought pre-made pie dough. For one round, I made the filling myself but then I discovered that they actually make pre-made pie filling, so you know I jumped right on that bandwagon. Sad, I know. But they turned out so stinking cute, who cares!

DIY Wedding in Memphis

You guys are going to find so many steal worthy ideas tucked inside this wedding. It’s funny, just as I was editing this post, I got an email from the bride thanking me for featuring her big day. She said, “I was such an avid reader of your blog when I was planning our wedding and found endless amounts of inspiration in your lovely posts. I hope that my wedding can serve as the same inspiration for other brides looking to make their wedding beautiful and unique…”

Rehearsal Dinner in Memphis

October 7th. 2009 by Abby Larson | 11 comments

I have the cutest, most adorable, most steal-worthy wedding coming up next but before I share…I wanted to show you these pictures from the equally sweet rehearsal dinner. The event was sent to us by the fabulous photographer behind the day, Heidi Ryder, and is ALL charm.

I mean seriously. How stinking cute is this? The vintage floral linens, the sweet centerpieces, the CELEBRATION sign. Madly, madly in love with all of it. Oh...

I have to admit, I have fallen head over heels with the couple behind this next affair. They are total perfection…she is gorgeous in that timeless beauty kind of way and he is as dreamy as they come.
