Michele and Dave’s relationship with the Sebastiani family allowed for some special perks. The couple was allowed to take 28 of their closest friends and family aboard the Sebastiani trolley ~ Sebastiani, Bartholomew Park, Ravenswood, and Buena Vista Wineries all rolled out their red carpets for them.

Their wedding weekend included a luxurious day filled with massages for the ladies, exclusive vineyard tours and wine-tasting, days filled with fabulous food and friendship.

At the reception, a “Wish Bowl” was available for guests to write their sentiments for the couple to open on their first anniversary.

A scrapbooking station kept guests busy in between dances. By the end of the night, guests had created a beautiful memento filled with Polaroid photos, colorful stickers and hand-written sentiments.  After many many heartfelt toasts, Michele and David danced the night away on a dance floor bedecked with her favorite colors ~ green and purple.

Congratulations to Michele and David! And a huge thank you to Jenne for sending us their wedding!

Like we said … Jessamyn’s weddings always look soooo fun!

The Holly Farm sounds like a fantastic destination wedding venue. From their website: “The Holly Farm is five acres of beauty with an intimate ‘hacienda village-like’ atmosphere. The farm was exclusively designed as a wedding destination facility…”

And … lucky for us, Jessamyn just happens to be one or our terrific LBB Destination Photographers!

One more thing … I noticed that Jessamyn has a photo of Erica and Chris’ completed wedding album on her blog. There are so many awesome choices in wedding albums, but this particular style, the Sequoia, is one that I absolutely love. It’s a flush-mount, collage style with thick board pages. From the oh-so-cute bride…

The day-after photos were inspired by our idea to take wedding photos with the vintage plane Ruggero flies.  Upon realizing that there would not be enough time for such photos on the wedding day, we decided it would be fun to do it the following day.  Our wedding photographer, Lauri Levenfeld, was very enthusiastic about the idea and provided great suggestions, so we asked her to photograph the second day as well.  To add to the vintage feel, I wore the wedding suit and pillbox hat my mother had worn for her wedding in the 1960’s.  We also located vintage suitcases to add to the backdrop.  The classic Austin Healy we had borrowed for the weekend fit right in with the theme.  The plane is kept at the Santa Rosa airport, where the historic hanger provided a perfect backdrop for the photos.

And today, we are officially introducing the newest addition to our Little Black Book…Style Me Pretty’s Destination Wedding Guide! Vicki and Phong’s wedding was held on Saturday June 28, 2008 at the Villa Istana Uluwatu, Bali.
All of their guests dressed in white for the celebration, adding to the overall elegance and style of the affair.

Vicki let me know that In Buddhist tradition it is extremely good luck to have stripes in the sky. As you can see from the pictures they were blessed on their wedding day!!

I’m writing to you with sincere desperation…. I am getting married in December on the 29th 2008. Due to the cheap deal, we are doing a winter wonderland theme so rich royal blues, light blue, whites, purples and a punch of royal red. Inspired by a previous design board you had posted about “Jewel tones.”

The huge issue is that it is 100% a tropical outside venue, it has huge waterfalls everywhere which look like and feel like you are in Hawaii. So, you see the dilemma? I am also incorporating feathers and diamonds into my floral arrangements since it will do with the winter wonderland glamour feel……

Everyone in the bridal party is nagging and telling me how tacky it will look due to the tropical venue….Can you please help me?!! I’m at the point of canceling everything and eloping!

Any ideas for this bride as to how she can “marry” the two styles?

Abby’s Answer…I think that we would need to see the venue to really make sure that it all works, but generally speaking, I don’t think that you should force a style upon a venue. I am a big believer that you should allow your natural surroundings to dictate the style of your wedding. In this case, I loooooove the idea of using peacock features and bringing in a deep ocean teal to the palette. Add that with deep raspberry and golden yellows and you would have a beautiful, holiday inspired (but beach appropriate palette).

Bring in accents that help to define the style…an array of berries tucked into floral arrangements, flowy white fabric, beautiful lanterns of various sizes. Little touches will help to marry the tropical surroundings with a warm, romantic Winter wedding.
