Wedding photographer extraordinaire, genius behind the lens, and pretty much the coolest person ever. So when Carla and her... [MORE]

Hartford Wedding Vow Renewal from Vintage Cinema

August 13th. 2011 by Mallory | 24 comments

Before I let you get too far into this post, I feel the need to warn you to wait until you have more than a few minutes to devote to SMP this morning. Why? Because you will want to watch this video at least three times, or honestly, probably closer to ten or twelve. It's maybe the coolest wedding video I've ever seen. Vintage Cinema sent it our way, and I have watched it an embarrassing amount of times. The video features one of our very... [MORE]

New Haven Wedding by Creative Montage + Cynthia Brown Studio

June 13th. 2011 by Abby Larson | 40 comments

When I was at Engage 2011, Sylvia Weinstock said that the cake is the one true centerpiece of the wedding. Well in the case of this next pretty little wedding, it's the cakes (plural) that have completely stolen my heart. And the bride's gorgeous dress. And flowers. And the paper goods. Okay, so there were many centerpieces of this affair that I fell in love with... [MORE]

From Inspiration to Reality: The Design, II

May 3rd. 2010 by Abby Larson | 67 comments

From Jubilee Coppola...We had so much fun styling and planning this shoot-- it really took us out of our comfort zone and allowed us to style something modern, minimal and chic! I was inspired by the white on white, citrus colors and shapes, and minimalistic approach of the board. That look was translated into the selection of a ghost table for our tablescape, which really showed off the citrus chargers and amazing citrus... [MORE]

Now for the really good stuff. The first part of today's From Inspiration to Reality shoot is focused on the two things I love most...food and fashion. From the INSANE styling by Beth at The White Dress by the Shore, to the gorg hair and make-up and the wedding cake that just might make you... [MORE]

From Inspiration to Reality: The Film

February 18th. 2010 by Elaine | 13 comments

So you just witnessed the phenomenal photos from today's sophisticated, modern From Inspiration to Reality feature... but we're not stopping there. Just to top things off, we also have the fabulous film from Buzz Media Company. I have to admit, when I watched this (for the first and second time) I had the biggest silliest grin on my face the whole time. It's just that much fun to watch. I was half tempted to do a little dance... [MORE]

From Inspiration to Reality: The Design

Okay, SMP-ers. Now for the good stuff. The absolutely adorable board that reader "Sticky" dreamed up...transformed into a steal-worthy wedding design. What I love the most about this particular look is that is isn't too girly. It's a bit more masculine than some of our others, with a clean, modern style that seems so fitting for a wedding design. THIS BRIDE Wanted Some Fun!

June 1st. 2009 by Eddye | 15 comments

THIS BRIDE wanted to do something fun and fashionable ... BEFORE the wedding ... while her excitement and enthusiasm were ripe! She told her photographer that she didn't want a typical 'trash the dress' shoot, but something fresh and quirky. Straight out of Vogue. Together they found an old abandoned girl's college in New York. [MORE]
