Valentine’s Day Wedding

It’s Valentine’s Day! Which to a wedding blogger means that it’s a day of total gorgeousness and unabashed romance. Not necessarily of the pink and red variety. When we laid eyes on this insanely gorgeous wedding, photographed by Elizabeth Messina, designed by Lisa Vorce and with florals by Mindy Rice, well. Let’s just say we begged them to let us feature a little tidbit of the beauty. The full wedding spread will be in the April issue of C Magazine (which is an AWESOME glossy by the way) and I just might be the first person to pick up a copy. I am that in love.

And to add a little bit of icing on the already gorgeous cake, one of our favorite cinematographers, Curtis Heyne of Living Cinema, has sent a vignette of the day our way. And it’s possibly the most beautiful love story you’ve ever seen IN. YOUR. LIFE. Seriously. It’s so lovely, the tears will be unavoidable.

So with this gift of gorgeousness, we wish you all a very Happy Valentine’s Day. Don’t forget to give your sweetie a kiss, give your mom a call, give your pups a pet and tell the friends in your life just how much you love them. Oh and let’s ALL give Elizabeth Messina a big congratulations, as she is celebrating the 1 year anniversary of her beautiful blog, Kiss the Groom.

A Mexican Inspired Rehearsal Dinner, IV

Today has all about fun. Day and Max’s absolutely ridiculous rehearsal dinner that has given me a permanent smile and a huge craving for a margarita. I am completely obsessed and it all started with a perfect little clip that the oh-so-talented Curtis Heyne of Living Cinema sent me.

If you’re at home, grab a cocktail. If you’re at work, put your headphones on. This is one that you REALLY don’t want to miss!

Ahhhh. Isn’t that amazing? Completely and totally amazing.

Curtis is one of those cinematographers that creates pure art. His vignettes are moving, they’re honest and they are generally spectacular. He manages to capture the realstory of the day without sacrificing style or intrigue. It’s as if you are watching a great romance unfold. His work is absolutely unreal and if you are lucky enough to hire a cinematographer…scoop him up fast!

A Mexican Inspired Rehearsal Dinner, III

I really do love Aaron and Jen Delesie. They are on the short list of my very favorite photographers. And, it seems like everything they send me goes up on the blog…it’s just always a no brainer. Aside from the fact that they get to work with designers like Lisa Vorce, they have a style that is all their own, a sense of effortless perfection that I fall in love with time and time again.

So, when they sent me today’s rehearsal…which is actually the rehearsal dinner for one of my favorite weddings on SMP…I jumped at the chance to put it up. And, the brilliantly talented Curtis Heyne has put together a video of the day, which made me even happier.

Plus, I am totally convinced that this rehearsal would make for a pretty awesome wedding. At least one that I would kill to attend! So laid back, so festive. And really, really beautiful. The food alone made me a little jealous!

Thank you, thank you, thank you Aaron for sending this my way! I am totally convinced that this is the best rehearsal I have ever seen. It’s making this dreary day in Boston so much brighter. Oh, and don’t fret readers, it isn’t over yet. Curtis Heyne of Living Cinema is up next with the most beautiful video of the day…it’s absolutely spectacular.

Cinematography by Living Cinema

I have to say, we really do have some of the world’s best cinematographers listed in our Little Black Book. The talent that these people are putting out is incredibly inspiring to me as both a designer and a wedding blogger. Curtis Heyne of Living Cinema is one of the best. And lucky for us, he is sharing two of his new clips with us today!

The first is so utterly romantic, in a laid-back and completely approachable way…

The second clip is just as lovely. The bride walking down the aisle with her father, the perfect smiles, the incredible music…it all comes together so beautifully…

I am not sure what it, but I am so weepy today and these clips have me completely choked up. Seeing these gorgeous weddings brought to life in such an artistic and beautiful way is just too much! Thank you so much to Curtis for sharing these clips with us!
