I am SO stinking excited to feature today’s wedding. First of all, it’s gorgeous. Ridiculously, unbelievably gorgeous. Second of all, it’s the wedding of one of our very own SMP girls, Carrie, who is an absolute doll through and through. And lastly, it just happens to be Carrie’s birthday, so we are doing the feature as a bit of a surprise birthday gift to her.

With that said, it was one of the easiest weddings in the world to feature because it is so, SO lovely....

The details. That is what today’s wedding was ALL about. Every little detail was not only thought out, it was designed and crafted by Brad or Laura. From perfect menus and place cards, to handcrafted truffles tucked inside DIY favor boxes, custom cocktail flags, even beer that Brad brewed for months before the wedding then bottled up and drove down to Charleston.

Usually, when I feature a wedding…I get to chat all about it from an editor’s perspective. Well, with today’s affair, I was lucky enough to be a guest so I am able to give a little bit of a different perspective. The ceremony was beautiful, the photographs of the bridal party were ridiculously lovely, but it was the reception…oh the reception…that really stole my heart.

Everything about today’s featured wedding was pure perfection. Since I was lucky enough to be a guest and just hang back to soak it all in, I saw the smallest details that Laura had put such TLC into, the most perfect touches, the most beautiful views of the day. Laura will be here a little later to share some DIY projects that she did but for now, I am still going nuts over her chic, but fun navy and yellow color palette…

As I mentioned earlier, today we are featuring my brother-in-law’s absolutely fabulous wedding that his ridiculously lovely wife Laura designed and crafted this past April. The wedding was held at the Boone Hall Plantation in Charleston, South Carolina and was a lesson in all things pretty. And for someone that eats, sleeps and breathes weddings…to be a guest at this one, was such a fun experience!

I have been SO ridiculously excited about today’s feature for MONTHS now. My brother-in-law, Brad, and my now sister-in-law, Laura, tied the knot in the most gorgeous wedding down in Charleston, SC this past April and when I tell you that it was incredible, I am hardly doing this wedding justice.

There is something completely sweet and charming about the reception from today’s featured affair. Filled with lots of hugs, toasts to the happy couple and a feeling of pure joy, I love that the they kept it simple and fun.
