When Dave, Rick and Debbie get together for a wedding …you KNOW it’s going to be terrific!

Carly & Matthew’s wedding is the perfect mix of classic natural beauty with a splendid touch of whimsy …

Everything about their wedding is just so darned pretty … the flowers are very simple and so very delicate…

And then … there’s the cake! Wow! So cool …

So, who are these extra-special Little Black Book vendors?

The awesome photography team was Dave Miyamoto & Company. The positively perfect florals were from Designs by Hemingway.

Cakelava … of course … designed the fabulous cake. All you have to do is take one look at the cake and you just KNOW it’s one of Rick’s, right?

I read on Rick & Sasha’s blog …

Carly and Matthew gave us plenty of artistic leeway when designing their cake. Their requests were funky, pink and green and white, and swirls, so Rick worked his magic. For their cake flavors, they chose Guava Lava, a completely pink cake, which couldn’t be more fitting for this wedding, and our Hot Fudge Sundae, a nice combination.

Dave really captured the fun … and the sweetest emotions of the day!

The term “fairy tale wedding” might seem cliché … but Carly looks like … she feels like … a princess! And Matthew? Her dashing young prince, of course.

We love it when we can show you that our Little Black Book vendors are all we say they are … and more!

Thank you so much to Rick and Sasha Reichart, of cakelava, for sending us today’s wedding. It has no doubt made us hugely jealous that you get to live and work in such an unbelievably gorgeous place, but more than that, it has inspired us to look no further than our natural surroundings and our own styles to create the wedding of our dreams…

And a HUGE thank you to Rachel Robertson for capturing the stunning images, to Flowergirls for bringing a bit of color into our day and to Joe and Irene for sharing their lovely wedding with us!

What I really think is great about today’s featured wedding, is that the couple seemed to capture the Island style so beautifully…they brought vibrant colors, exotic flowers and a general sense of laid back elegance to the affair, all without seeming contrived or overdone. They found inspiration in their surroundings, then infused it with their own personalities and styles. It’s how everyone should approach a wedding…

It was one of our favorite Little Black Book members, cakelava, who sent us this wedding and if you haven’t already seen their ridiculously gorgeous designs, you absolutely HAVE to check out their site. Their cakes are one part total chic, one part fun, whimsy. Most of them are unbelievably creative and are built using the Island as their inspiration. Definitely a must-have!

LOVE IT. The uneven squares are such a fun approach to a traditional cake…it’s got a twist, but it’s not so out there that you don’t know it’s a wedding cake. It seems to fit the decor, with the fun japanese lanterns and colorful table settings, to perfection. Love.

Not sure if I’ve ever seen a cuter wedding party, a prettier bride, a more elegantly relaxed style. I would have loved to be a guest at this wedding (obviously) just so that I could experience the pure joy that seems to be radiating out of every corner.

We just had to show you some more shots from one of the Cakelava weddings featured earlier today. The event took place at the Paul Mitchell Estate in Kailua. Cassandra & David Dieterle served as wedding consultants for this couple and orchestrated the entire thing … and what an amazing wedding it was! Apparently, they used a number of Style Me Pretty’s inspiration boards for ideas and color palettes. Working with a team of local wedding vendors (many LBB members!) they created this fabulous fete.

The details in this wedding are just spectacular and even though you may not be lucky enough to have such an amazing Hawaiian location for your event, you definitely should tag these details as awesome.
