It’s hard for me to talk about bridesmaids dresses because I feel like there are SO many places to look…many of which don’t include the standard bridesmaids lines. I love Nordstrom and Bluefly, Banana Republic and some of the smaller national stores. With that said, there is something incredibly easy about ordering from a collection that was tailored for bridesmaids. Take Watters for example…

I really love Jenny’s wedding gowns, but what she completely excels at is bridesmaids. Her maids dresses are so unbelievably chic, one part flirty and fun, one part style and sophistication. Another one of those designers that really think about the girls that are wearing them, designing dresses that can be worn to parties, weddings and so much more!

Yesterday was all about wedding dresses and today is about that oftentimes harder decision…the bridesmaid dress. I am going to try to stick to my favorites, all while covering a wide variety of price points. Some are modern and flirty, others are more timeless and elegant. First up…bridesmaids’ newest heavy hitter, J. Crew!
The upside of J. Crew…fabulous colors, chic styles and silhouettes, a completely adorable feminine charm. My very favorite in this group is the top middle, yellow dress. LOVE more than I can say. The downside is that some of the styles are a little bit on the pricey side (although they do have this fabulous dress for $59 in some pretty great colors). But all in all, I am nuts about this collection.
Melissa wowed us way back in 2005 with her oh-so-flirty, oh-so chic collection of bridesmaids dresses…it was so ahead of the game in terms of fun cuts and styles, fabulous colors, the works. Well, she’s at it again, this time with a line that is more understated, a bit more elegant.

And now we present: Katie and Mario’s Magical Wedding from Daria Bishop Photographers …
Katie and Mario were married in October at the Lounsbury House in Ridgefield, Connecticut.
from Katie and Mario’s wedding website …Ladies & Gentlemen, gals and lads, don your fancy garb and come witness Mario the Magician and his lovely assistant, Kathryn Elizabeth, as they perform their greatest feat yet!
We found Abby’s great make-up Artist, Lynne Avallone, through Abby’s cousin Kristine. Kristine is a fabulous hair-stylist. She and Lynne frequently work together at weddings in the Boston area. I think Abby was most worried about her hair. She — kind of knew what she wanted — but couldn’t totally express it. She didn’t need to worry. Kristine read her like a book and Abby loved it! Kristine and Lynne made us all feel beautiful!
Putting together this wedding feature from Meghan Sepe was such fun! Each group of photos emphasizes just how much happiness can go into planning a wedding. Look at these images and you know that Allyson and Cody are simply delightful people, full of excitement and ready for a lifetime of adventure, together.
For some reason, when I saw the photo of Cody and his guys, all I could think of was … Lancelot and his knights…boldly approaching to carry Guinevere far far away!
You know we love all of the special touches that define a couple’s personality. We love the vibrant, happy colors. And we love big juicy kisses.
Not only was Katie and Colin’s wedding one of the most elegant we’ve seen, it also had a sensational bridal party! The maids wore Amsale. The little man and maids were in Annie Girl from The White Dress by the shore. And the lovely Katie … Vera, of course!
Katherine and Adam were married at Phipps Mansion in Cherry Creek (Denver), Colorado.
Love the colors!! The maids and mini-maids are wearing Jenny Yoo. The color is “charmed violet”. So perfect.
The little man is wearing a custom vest and tie by ‘My Big Guy’ for Annie Girl. The mother of the bride [not shown] wore Modern Trousseau. All attire was, of course, through the lovely ladies at The White Dress By The Shore.
Just in case you weren’t already head over heels in love with these dresses by Coren Moore, I saved this particular group for last. I know I said it once, but I am truly in love with the gorgeous color scheme and sweet sophistication of these gowns. Enough of me, I’ll let the dresses speak for themselves, enjoy!
The detail work in these dresses is that perfect combination of chic without being fussy. From the subtle, scalloping on the neckline of the Francie Bridal Gown to the sweet ruffles on the bottom of the green Rose Dress. Each one is completely gorgeous in it’s own unique way!
