One of the vendors at the event this past weekend was the ridiculously talented Ariane Goldman of TwoBirds Bridesmaid. Who knew that one dress could be twisted and tugged so many different ways…each one cuter than the next. It is beyond me how someone can be so incredible innovative, so incredibly thoughtful in their design.

I kept telling Arianne that she was a celebrity because I had seen her on the Martha Stewart Show…which made her blush, in an adorably modest way (especially for a celebrity!). We are going to collaborate on a really, really fun giveaway in the very near future, but in the meantime…check out the TwoBirds Bridesmaid collection. I swear, your girls will LOVE you for it.

Bridesmaid Dress Picks: Bluefly

I am sure that you have all picked up on my love affair with Bluefly. It’s just such a fabulous invention…bringing the most amazing designers to the hands of us mere mortals. And some of you might know that they recently launched a wedding division, made especially for bridesmaids and guests who are looking for that perfect dress.

Well, I sorted through the options and have come up with my favorite Bluefly bridesmaid dresses. Now, Bluefly has mastered the art of the Little Black Dress so many of the options are black, but I threw in a few fabulously hued dresses to mix things up a bit. Oh and I tried really hard to keep the prices at $200 or under (some are a few dollars over).

With Bluefly, you need to make sure that they have all of the sizes you need before you place your order, as they carry a limited quantity of each dress. It’s a great way to have your maids buy a dress that comes with a pretty fun label (if you like that sort of thing which I don’t…okay, I’m lying, I love it).

Bridesmaid Dress Picks: Thread

Although Thread has been around a while, I actually fell in love with them after seeing a story on the creative director, Beth Blake, in Domino Magazine. Her newest designs are so effortlessly beautiful. Chic without being stuffy or cliche. They are simply beautiful, no other way to put it!

This first set is from her FABULOUS party collection…fun, flirty and totally wearable!

Loving the vibrant color palette, the modern silhouettes, the everything really. There are so many Thread dresses that I absolutely love. Here are a few from their other lovely collections…

I think that my all time favorite Thread dress is that one in the bottom right corner, with the sleeves and the oh-so-chic velvet belt. It’s a cut that you just don’t see in bridesmaids dresses, but one that will certainly start a few trends!

Jim Hjelm is another collection that really focuses on their bridesmaid collection, making it incredibly easy to order and find styles that compliment every one of your bridesmaids. I mean, let’s face it…what looks good on your best friend, might make your sister shutter. This is exactly why companies like Jim Hjelm are great…tons of styles that you can mix and match, that make all of your girls feel beautiful. Which is so, so important.

Thank you to everyone who entered our Little Black Dress competition! I loved every minute of it and now am so excited about that perfect Little Black Dress…for a chic, smart wedding where fashion can take centerstage, it’s a no brainer!

This is the last set of Jenny Yoo dresses and I have to say…they just might be the best! These are a bit more formal than the previous dresses I’ve featured today, but every bit as gorgeous!

There are no words, really. The gorgeous colors, the oh-so-sophisticated silhouetes…perfection. Congratulations, Jenny, on an absolutely fabulous Fall collection. I only wish that I were getting married all over again!

We are continuing on with “SMP’s Fashion Week” and I have to say…I am in love with Jenny Yoo’s Fall Fashions. I have actually been in love with Jenny’s work for a long time now and to be honest, it just keeps getting better and better.

These dresses are a little bit bold, a little bit flirty…

How gorgeous are these? The deep aqua color, the sweet silhouettes…love, love, love them. I have so many more of Jenny’s designs on the way so stay tuned!
