We take our vendor recommendations very seriously at Style Me Pretty … so when we say great, we mean really really really great talent + personality + experience + peer applause. Some of the LBB vendors are the top names in the business. Many, though, are relative newcomers and have been specifically recommended to us by their brides & grooms, as well as their peers who are already members of the LBB … and these … are the true up-and-comers in the wedding industry.

Wedding Gown LBB Files

The images of the bride in the first row above (right) and the last row was sent to us by our great friends and LBB members, Bill and Anne of Holland Photo Arts. Tessie & Matt’s wedding had so many special details! To see it, take a look at Abby’s FACEBOOK page, Bill & Anne’s blog … or a really good slideshow from their wedding. Tessie and Matt own a blacksmithing shop in Charleston, West Virginia ~ Wallace Metal Works. They designed and hand-made many items that they used in their own wedding. How cool is that! Here’s a link to their website: Wallace Metal Works. It might just be that perfect design/inspiration springboard that you need!

Wedding dresses! We ALL love looking at wedding dresses. We all LOVE spring collections of wedding dresses. That is why today is such a lovely day! Believe it or not, the snow and ice that is slamming much of the country will melt and spring WILL arrive. What better way to spend a few minutes brightening up your day than oohh-ing and aahh-ing over the 2009 Spring Collection from Janell Berté. We have the distinct pleasure of saying that Janell — an award winning couture dress designer — is one of the founding members of Style Me Pretty’s Little Black Book.  Janell’s private bridal studio and workshop is located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Brides from as far away as New York City and Baltimore have traveled to her salon to work with her in fashioning their very own, perfect, dream-come-true wedding dress.

I spoke with Janell a few days ago and found her to be absolutely delightful. Very approachable. Very enthusiastic about her designs (her ‘babies’)! I asked if she had a favorite design from her 2009 collection and she replied that it would be impossible to name just one. Her gowns are her babies and each stands on it’s own merits. She loves them all.

I know I said it once, but I am truly in love with the gorgeous color scheme and sweet sophistication of these gowns. Enough of me, I’ll let the dresses speak for themselves, enjoy!

The detail work in these dresses is that perfect combination of chic without being fussy. From the subtle, scalloping on the neckline of the Francie Bridal Gown to the sweet ruffles on the bottom of the green Rose Dress. Each one is completely gorgeous in it’s own unique way!

Her bridesmaids dresses and wedding gowns are so incredibly lovely…perfect for a sweet, sophisticated affair.

The long bridal gown  in the final photo is called the Chloe Gown and is featured with the accompanying Jillian and Avery bridesmaids dresses. The great thing about these dresses is that there are so many rich and beautiful colors to  choose from on Coren Moore’swebpage. It is entirely possible to create almost any color combination you could imagine. Perfection!

A quick side note…the photos of these dresses are just so lovely, and were shot by the very talented Cappy Hotchkiss Photography. Its almost hard to believe these photos are from a fashion shoot and not a real wedding!
