Napa Valley Wedding by Jose Villa

Let me preface this next wedding by saying this...if I wasn't friends with Jose Villa, he would DEFINITELY be a little scared of me. Every time I get one of his weddings, I automatically become a class A lunatic, gushing like gushing was going out of style. I don't know whether he is simply the world's best photographer and can make any wedding look spectacular or he is blessed with super cool clients that know what style is all about... [MORE]

A Rehearsal Dinner by Laura Hooper + Beth Helmstetter

And speaking of the fabulousness that is Laura Hooper...apparently, good taste runs in the family. Since we are celebrating Laura's soon-to-be nuptials, we thought we'd also share with you this little shindig that Laura and Beth Helmstetter put together for her sister's rehearsal dinner. It's gorgeousness defined and yet another example of just how talented these two... [MORE]

Engagement Party for Laura Hooper

March 15th. 2011 by Abby Larson | 33 comments

I'm a self professed Laura Hooper stalker. I love, love, love her calligraphy work and from the looks of it, everyone else does too. I bet that if we crawled all of the past weddings we've featured on SMP, Laura's name would come up the most because, well...she's just that good. So when I heard that she is getting hitched in a few months, I just about burst with wedding joy. And if her engagement party, designed by the fabulous... [MORE]

Maui Wedding by Jose Villa + Beth Helmstetter

We are so, so unbelievably excited to share this next wedding with you but be forewarned that it is REALLY GOOD. Like take your breath away kind of GOOD. It is Parisian meets vintage Hawaii as seen through the lens of of one of our favorite photographers, Jose Villa. Now add the rockstar of gorgeous design and styling, Beth Helmstetter, into the mix and we have ourselves... [MORE]

Cultural Rehearsal Dinner by Beth Helmstetter

June 10th. 2010 by Abby Larson | 18 comments

This next rehearsal has me a little jealous and a little hungry. I'm particularly jealous of the gorgeous dress the bride is rocking, but also of the sweet and totally approachable style. Perfectly suited for a rehearsal dinner filled with close family and friends. Homemade Asian fare, flowers tucked in tea tins and perfect cans of Sofia champagne. Beyond. Designed by the fabulous Beth Helmstetter and photographed by the... [MORE]

Southern California Wedding by Aaron Delesie, II

I am very rarely speechless when it comes to weddings. Sure, I swoon, obsess and generally go crazy about once a week over some fabulous something that comes into our inbox. But I am rarely speechless. This wedding has left me just that - speechless - so instead of trying to come up with an introduction that would do Aaron Delesie's wedding justice, I'll just quote our sweet Elaine when she saw this little gem..."holy freaking cow... Southern California Wedding by Aaron Delesie

You guys might want to sit down for this next wedding. It's one of those weddings that you will look at over and over and over, hardly believing that it's real. I know, it's almost cruel to share a wedding THIS gorgeous, but I honestly couldn't help myself. And when you see the photographs that Aaron Delesie snapped...you'll understand why. Aaron is not only a good friend of ours, he is also one of the most talented, thoughtful... [MORE]

California Wedding with Classic Elegance

April 29th. 2010 by Chantale | 39 comments

Please raise your hand if you're a sucker for a really good love story.  As I suspected, many of you are!  I'm cheesy.  I admit it.  I'm totally the cheeseball who loves hearing the love story behind the wedding.  Especially  love stories of coincidence. Where people just happen to sit down next to one another at a restaurant or bar, only to walk down the aisle and profess their eternal love to each other a year later (I wasn't kidding about the cheeseball stuff).  Well today's... From Inspiration to Reality: The Design, III

April 9th. 2010 by Abby Larson | 7 comments

My favorite part of these inspiration shoots is knowing that the ideas that look so beautiful in the photographs, are actually REAL steal-able inspirations that you can incorporate into your own wedding. Even if you can't set up pretty picnic tables outside, you can still collect vintage vases and fill them with pretty Spring hues. Even if you aren't sure if the sun will be shining on your big day, you can still bring in elements you love and use them in unconventional ways to make your day... [MORE]

There is no better way to welcome in Spring than with this insanely gorgeous From Inspiration to Reality shoot crafted by some of my all time favorite vendors including the fabulous Beth Helmstetter, florals by the oh-so-talented Holly Flora... [MORE]

From Inspiration to Reality: The Board

April 9th. 2010 by Elaine | 5 comments

So (in case you can't tell) we're pretty excited that spring is finally here. Sunshine, flowers, birds chirping, warm air, open toed shoes... everything about it has us feeling, well, a little twitterpated. But when our latest team of vendors sent us the photos from their From Inspiration to Reality shoot we needed to pinch ourselves to make sure it wasn't really February and we were... [MORE]

Engagement Party by Laura Hooper + Beth Helmstetter

March 2nd. 2010 by Abby Larson | 26 comments

The invitations for this next party were pretty much enough to send me clear over the edge. And the super cute, super casual party that followed? Well, I was totally charmed to say the least. Not terribly shocking considering this event was designed by Beth Helmstetter with help from Laura Hooper for Laura's adorable sister's engagement (that was a mouthful!). And when... [MORE]

DIY Wedding by Amy and Stuart, III

February 15th. 2010 by Beth Helmstetter | 37 comments

Just one last post from Vy's gorgeous DIY wedding. Check out the vintage inspired table numbers and different quotes tied to each napkin. This is the PERFECT way to get guests interacting at the dinner tables, by the way. I can just envision guests walking around the room trying to see what each person's napkin says. My personal favorite is the quote from Homer Simpson, "Can't Talk...Eating." I can so relate! Oh, and the bamboo plates and silverware are just too sweet! It just goes to show... [MORE]

DIY Wedding by Amy and Stuart, II

February 15th. 2010 by Beth Helmstetter | 17 comments

Okay, now on to some of the insane details. I love, love, love every little thing about this wedding. From the vintage typewriter to the funky programs, to the completely understated but utterly sweet, fresh ring of lavender that the couple stood in while saying their vows. Oh, and please, please, check out the seating chart. So charming... Lace wrapped vases and hand crafted candies in beautiful paper? Yes, please...Oh, and how about those heart... [MORE]
