New York Wedding by Our Labor of Love

I literally got chills as I read about our next wedding and drooled over the photography by Heidi of Our Labor of Love.  Every wedding we share is oh-so sweet but there is just something so personal and touching about this this New York celebration.  Dorothy and Mike were married at their own home, a family estate and the very place where her parents were married, and they even used the same (incredible!) florist.  I really can't... Austin Wedding by Caplan Miller Event

For anyone that has ever visited Austin, you know that it can provide one of THE most gorgeous backdrops for a wedding. So much so, that I'd venture to say we've saved the very best wedding for last today. Designed by Sarah Miller of Caplan Miller Events, with flowers by Petal Pushers and photography by... [MORE]

Sonoma County Wedding by Julie Mikos

I almost feel guilty sharing this gorgeous Summer wedding by Julie Mikos Photography with you during the cold, winter months.  Almost.  Hopefully it will keep you warm as you dream of sunshine, backyard BBQs and juicy cherries!  I love the picnic vibe and a rustic, barn wedding in Sonoma County can never be wrong.  The checkered linens are just too cute! ... Lakeside Wedding by Tanja Lippert

I want to marry this next wedding. Seriously. I want to marry this wedding and live happily ever after together. It's just that beautiful. Which doesn't come as any surprise considering the photographer behind the lens was Tanja Lippert who always sends us the greatest weddings ever. The kind of weddings that make you cringe with jealousy and cheer with delight at the exact same time. And this one, just might be her best... [MORE]

Handmade Wedding by Julie Mikos

November 12th. 2010 by Abby Larson | 18 comments

Sometimes, it's the totally handmade affairs that completely steal our hearts. The weddings where you can see all of the love, all of the fun, all of the passion that went into crafting each and every detail. Such is the case with this next little number, photographed by one of our favorites, Julie Mikos. With a couple pairs of scissors, a hot glue gun and a teeny tiny budget, this bride and groom designed a wedding that has made me... [MORE]

Malibu Wedding by Sarah Yates + Volare Events

August 12th. 2010 by Abby Larson | 39 comments

Although I genuinely heart every wedding that we choose to feature on Style Me Pretty, I can honestly say that very few have inspired me in the way that this wedding has. Photographed stunningly by Sarah Yates (obsessed with her btw) and designed to perfection by Volare Events, this wedding is layer upon layer of gorgeousness. From the textures and the colors to the... [MORE]

Anniversary Dinner by Lisa Vorce and Aaron Delesie

July 27th. 2010 by Abby Larson | 12 comments

This anniversary party is 10 times more gorgeous than my wedding. But that pretty much goes for everything Lisa Vorce of Oh How Charming gets her talented little hands on. Add to that some photography by Aaron Delesie and you basically have the recipe for a perfect event. So although I know you are going to love this little affair, I am warning you...jealousy may occur. From... [MORE]

Miami Wedding by KT Merry

June 23rd. 2010 by Abby Larson | 11 comments

I love this next wedding for a few reasons. For one, I am a little obsessed with the bride and groom...SO. FREAKING. GORGEOUS. Second, I love that they did an ultra chic, oh-so-Miami photoshoot before the wedding began. So cool. And finally, I love the sweet simplicity of the reception. The chandeliers, the perfect pink florals, the glam and glitz translated in a pretty, soft way. Held in the bride's mother's backyard (jealous), this wedding is total perfection. And photographer... If you are just now joining us, we're all about real weddings today. A little something for every taste, for every style, for every budget. And who says weddings have to include a huge poofy white dress, a church and a ballroom. Definitely not us. We've fallen hard for this backyard affair that is ALL about having fun and celebrating with the ones you love. Photographed by Jeffrey Sampson, this really is what a wedding is all about. [MORE]

Wedding Video from our Favorite Feature

October 13th. 2009 by Abby Larson | 14 comments

If there is one feature that has been obsessed over beyond belief here on SMP, eliciting e-squeals of glee around the world...it would have to be the Vintage, Shabby Chic Photoshoot that the FABULOUS Lisa Lefkowitz and Gloria Wong put together for Brides Northern California Magazine. [MORE]

Backyard Chic Wedding by Spruce Floral, III

August 26th. 2009 by Abby Larson | 8 comments

Thank you so very much to John and Nikki, of the FABULOUS Spruce Floral, for letting us showcase their wonderful wedding on SMP. It's backyard chic to perfection. Because of Nikki’s design background we were now fortunate enough to have friends that were professional photographers. In fact, there were no less than five in attendance – one being an old friend who, at the age of 72, had been a photographer for 50 years. [MORE]

Backyard Chic Wedding by Spruce Floral, II

August 26th. 2009 by Abby Larson | 9 comments

There is something so incredibly charming about this wedding. It might be the fact that the couple did everything themselves or the fact that it was held it in the groom's (John) aunt's backyard. Whatever it is, I am completely smitten. John is actually one of the founders of the incredible floral studio, Spruce, here in Boston. They did my own wedding so I have had a love affair with all things Spruce for a long time. I am... [MORE]

Thank you so much to Jennifer and CJ Nichols for sending us today's first featured wedding. It's absolutely, positively delightful...stuff weddings should be made of! To see more of this gorgeous day, check out The Nichol's blog for lots more pics. A few last details from the bride... We bought tons of Martha Stewart pom poms & hung them on the ceiling of the venue.  It took hours for our family and friends... [MORE]

Colorful, DIY Eco-Chic Wedding, III

August 11th. 2009 by Abby Larson | 20 comments

You all know what a nut I am about the details. It's those perfect little touches that make a wedding truly gorgeous in my book...the more original, the more charming, the better. This couple was ALL about the details. Photography by The Nichols I love the use of quilts in the wedding decor. Draped over hay bales, cocktail tables, as a backdrop for photographs...it's so adorable and such a lovely way to... [MORE]
