We are trying to hold on to the last rays of sunshine and this glorious Ponte Vedra wedding by Agnes Lopez Photography is just what we need as a distraction from the coming fall. My summer-lovin’ heart was stolen the moment I spotted that halo of craspedia, cool tea-length dress and heart-shaped sunglasses on this sweet, blonde bride. Every detail is just as cheerful and chic as can be. Check them all out in the full gallery!

From Agnes Lopez Photography…Tess and George live in New York City but decide to have their wedding at The Sawgrass Marriott in Ponte Vedra, Florida. They were married in an outdoor ceremony under the shade of trees and against a backdrop of streaming fabric in their wedding colors.

Their wedding was filled with so many cool, personal touches. After the ceremony they showed off their matching tattoos, an homage to the “Wagon Wheel” song that George was learning to play when they were dating, and as favors they gave guests local orange clover honey. In lieu of a guest book, everyone was encouraged to leave a personal note on unique postcards.

Wrap It Up Pretty

If ever there was a girl that is sad to see the week end…it’s me. It was a week of total eye candy on SMP with perfect cupcakes in RV’s (click here for more photos) and the prettiest of pretty details taking center stage (click here to see more). But really, it’s what’s happening behind the scenes that has me giddy. From Inspiration to Reality: The Design, Behind the Scenes

Whenever we have a video to supplement the gorgeous pictures that we are featuring, I get really really REALLY excited. And since today’s featured From Inspiration to Reality Shoot was a total lesson in all that’s beautiful and perfect, I am a little bit over the moon that we actually get to show you a behind-the-scenes clip.

From Inspiration to Reality #2: The Design, II

I keep bragging about our new From Inspiration to Reality feature. I really can’t shut up about it. I think that the idea is so freaking cool and seeing that we work with some of the more incredible vendors out there, it seemed like a genius way of blurring the line between what they do and what our readers want. It’s a great way to bring our two loves together and celebrate a really inspiring design adventure.

And man-oh-man am I glad that the shoot captured by Agnes Lopez and team was one of our debut features. It’s so good, that it makes me feel really stinking proud of myself for coming up with the concept and really stinking proud of the vendors that I have the sheer pleasure of working with. It’s a total dream of a shoot and one that I KNOW will be used as wedding inspiration from now until forever!

Agnes wanted to bring a little bit of the Vintage Winter Inspiration to the shoot. Seeing that they love all things fashion and all things vintage, this particular inspiration board seemed like the perfect fit. Plus, they got to bring a little bit of snow to Florida which was just too good to pass up. Here’s what Liza Chung, the florist and designer, had to say…

We chose the board because we are drawn to all things luxury and fashionable. We adored the Vera Wang gown and authenticity of the styling with vintage frames. The florals spoke softly of winter and we love beautiful jewels and couture shoes. The board allowed for our own interpretation to expand to a realm of high style bridal fantasy.

The picture of the entire tablescape against the blue sky is enough to send me clear over the edge. It’s not exactly doable for a wedding, but when you look a little closer, you’ll see that there are so many incredible ideas tucked inside. Oh and if one perfect gown isn’t enough, the team added in another that is equally as gorgeous, equally as drool inducing. This one, by Caroline Herrera.

OK. So, what I really want you to get from these posts are real, solid ideas that you can infuse into your own wedding. SMP is about inspiration, about finding ideas tucked inside each and every photograph. So, here are a few ways to translate this gorgeous shoot into a wedding…

1. Place sweet treats like chocolate covered oreos on sticks, chocolate martinis and cinnamon dusted marshmallows to add to your hot chocolate all around your reception space. A hot chocolate bar is a classic way to add a bit of charm to your day.

2. Have large pieces of faux fur draped over display tables to add a warm and cozy style. Then, think in terms of layers. Tuck in antler details, through candle holders, picture frames or wall art. Bring in a collection of mismatched crystal candle holders (found at flea markets and antique stores), use mismatched rentals for your plates, layering in different patterns and textures, rent copper hued glasses or start collecting them from places like ebay.

3. Rather than using all flowers, add in a few standing crystal chandeliers on tables. Ask your florist about renting crystal candelabras or standing chandeliers.

4. Use a basic white linen, then layer in a piece of lace or a vintage table cloth. This will add texture and dimension to your look. Copper hued napkins will add the warmth.

5. Keep your flowers simple, subtle and sophisticated. Mix in berries for a bit of charm.

From Inspiration to Reality #2: The Design

You are going to need to sit down for this one. We’re debuting our second From Inspiration to Reality feature and although I knew that it was going to be good…I’m not sure that could have ever anticipated this much gorgeousness. The team was headed up by Little Black Book member Agnes Lopez and she just happened to recruit some of our favorite vendors to help out (see full list below) including Etiquette of Chocolate, CollabCreation Films and Designer Liza Chung.

And thus the wait is over. Feast your eyes on this incredibly delicious spread…

I MEAN, COME ON! Crazy beautiful and the style just happens to be spot on with the inspiration board. I am in total awe of this shoot and kind of wish that I could jump right into the fairytale. The dress above is by Vera Wang and just might be my new favorite gown.

Before we discuss the inspiration and the amazing details that went into the affair, I just wanted to give you a few minutes to digest the gorgeous photographs that the clearly insanely talented Agnes Lopez shot. They nailed this shoot and beautifully translated Mariah’s inspiration board into a reality that is sure to inspire wedding, after wedding, after wedding.

From Inspiration to Reality #2: The Board

This just in…we woke up this morning to the absolutely, jaw-droppingly gorgeous photographs from our second official From Inspiration to Reality feature! And I am literally busting at the seams. Photographed by the FABULOUS photographer Agnes Lopez, designed by the incredible florist and designer, Liza Chung and captured on film by Eric Torres, this shoot exceeded all of my wildest dreams.

But before we get to the images themselves, let’s take a quick minute to remember the winning board that Mariah designed…

The design team definitely took a Winter approach with this one and the result was a complete showstopper. I am just finishing up formatting the images but will be back in a flash with the full report.

From Inspiration to Reality Winner!

Before we get into all of the wedding goodness we have for you today (and I mean serious goodness) I wanted to announce our From Inspiration to Reality Challenge #2 Winner! If you remember, our next team to transform one of your boards into a real life photo shoot is the FABULOUS photographer Agnes Lopez, the lovely event designer and florist Liza Chung and cinematographer (who is awesome by the way) Eric Torres. And together, they’ve chosen this fashion inspired board that Mariah designed…

I LOVE that they picked such a high glam board to transform. It will be incredible to watch this really come to life, to see the ideas and inspirations that Agnes and team will come up with. SO, SO, excited! Just a quick sidenote…the photoshoot will be featured around the 24th of November as it will take a couple of weeks to order flowers, get the styling done, and process the images. Seriously, can’t wait to see the final product!

From Inspiration to Reality – Challenge 2!

We had such a blast with our From Inspiration to Reality Challenge that we’ve decided to make it a regular feature on SMP! We have vendors lined up from now until February who are super excited to turn your inspiration boards into a real life photo shoot, complete with tons of inspirations and ideas that can be translated into a perfect wedding. Leading up our next team is Agnes Lopez, a brilliant photographer out of the Southeast. Together with Liza Chung (event designer and florist) and Eric Torres (cinematography), the team is going to choose their favorite Style Circle inspiration board to bring to life!
