What better way to kick off the week than with a classic Southern beauty like this one right here. Chock full of blush bridesmaids and perfectly pretty bouquets of roses and hydrangeas, a dapper groom and one gorgeous gown, making me one very happy wedding blogger this A.M. Ashley Seawell captured every detail and these pics are my prescription for how we should start every Monday morning.

From The Bride… Our story is one almost 10 years in the making. Alex and I started dating in 2005 while we were both in high school just outside of Charlotte, NC. I am originally from Greenville, SC so Alex and I have visited the beautiful upstate city many times throughout the years. Alex fell in love with Greenville, so it was a no-brainer that we would get married there. We wanted our wedding to be a representation of us: classic, Southern, and very family-oriented. Alex and his family have a masonry business in Charlotte and when we first looked at the Huguenot Mill, we knew the historic, renovated textile mill was the venue for us with all of it’s gorgeous exposed brick and wooden beams. We chose a neutral color palette so that it would not overshadow the restored brick and local, Southern flowers that were in season in September like magnolia, hydrangeas, and roses. Family is also very important to us. We wanted to make sure we honored our families so we had wedding photos of our parents, grandparents, and extended family all throughout the reception site. My grandfather had recently passed so I had his rings tied with blue string in my dress pockets. It meant a lot to me to have a little piece of him with me throughout the day. Alex and I look back on that day as the best day of our lives. It was full of love and happiness and we couldn’t have hoped for anything else!

From Chris Isham… Since this past July, I’ve been watching my good friend Katelyn Pinner launch an amazing new business venture of hers called ModFete. ModFete, based in Greenville, SC, is a boutique floral + event design company for epic wedding celebrations to intimate dinner parties. Katelyn is incredibly talented, and her eye for a romantic, organic style makes any event detailed perfection. Just recently, I photographed some new portfolio pieces for her, and I love the quiet, relaxed elegance her work exudes. Enjoy!

It’s generally best to keep things simple. And if keeping it simple includes hayrides, oak trees, and great food (shout out to Greenbrier Farms for growing and sourcing responsibly), then even better! Take this autumnal ceremony with burgundy throws, navy bridesmaid dresses and bold bouquets from Earth Blooms. Olivia Griffin Photography was there to capture the charming event. Find the full gallery here.
From Olivia Griffin Photography… I have a wedding that I hope you will love. It’s bright, colorful, intimate and sweet. This was not a big showy event, but still very thoughtful. The ceremony was in a huge pasture with one large oak tree. All of the guests and even the wedding party had to be escorted to the ceremony site by hayride. This definitely makes for an unforgettable experience for the guests. I loved that their two sweet boys came down the isle before the bride. I also loved that the band for the reception was a Beatles cover band lead by the groom’s brother…how cool is that? The farm where the wedding and reception took place sourced and made all of the food. They had everything from Brick oven pizza to homemade soup.
