A Romantic Celebration in South Carolina

As far back as I can remember, I’ve been slightly obsessed with pale pink peonies. They are the darling of the wedding world for good reason. And this wedding? It’s totally dripping in them. A sea of pink peonies crafted by Ivy Cottage and a sweet as can be celebration to match. See all the festivities captured by Ashley Seawell Photography in the full gallery here.

Katie and Trevor chose to celebrate their wedding weekend in their quaint hometown of Aiken, SC. The ceremony took place at the bride’s home church and the reception followed at the Reserve Club. The bride and groom decided that this was the perfect reception venue because of it dual indoor and outdoor spaces overlooking a breathtaking golf course. After cocktails on the porch of the club, guests were invited inside for dinner, cake and dancing. Peonies, roses and baby’s breath were used throughout the day. Katie was excited to use her mother’s collection of vintage blue mason jars! They will serve as an everyday reminder of their wedding day!

From Ashley Seawell PhotographyJaclyn and Jeremy’s wedding was beautiful against the backdrop of Hopeland Gardens. The bride and groom decided that this local garden would be the perfect venue because of its majestic oaks and lush landscape. It was the perfect fit for these outdoor lovers. Cote Design allowed the garden to speak for itself, and brought in orchids, ferns, lilies, and succulents at the reception. The soft hues of coral and sand stood out against garden’s canopy of green. After a cocktail hour under cafe lights, guests moved into the old home that graces the property. A southern buffet was served and guests enjoyed an evening of dancing.
