This darling day hits all of my wedding sweet spots… it’s romantic, stunningly gorgeous and chock-full of whimsy. A bloom-filled paradise crafted by the ever-talented La Petite Fleur Weddings and Events with some of the coolest details you will ever lay your eyes upon. Think tea cups, vintage books and china table numbers and you haven’t even begun to crack the awesomeness. See it all captured by Jason Messer and Gene Smirnov right here.
From La Petite Fleur Weddings and Events… Ivy League graduates with a love of rowing and tea, Mary Pat and Karl wanted the history they had been making together to be reflected in their June 15th wedding at the historic Philadelphia Horticultural Center.
It was all about blending the couple’s history and interests with the beauty of their blush palette to create their big day look. To get started, La Petite Fleur pulled from its library of style— mixing and matching mercury and milk glassware filled with lush garden blooms, with the Wixted Family’s heirloom china, tea sets and books (many belonged to Mary Pat’s father in college)— to create a scheme with interest at every turn.
LPF also designed an installation that literally ‘framed’ the head table with hand-created paper poppies, accented with vintage tea plates and frames filled with flowers and fabric.
Mary Pat and Karl, both first year MBA candidates at Yale School of Management, reside in New Haven , CT.
