Looking for a little vintage inspiration for your Monday morning? Well you’ve come to the perfect place. Because this shoot from the Fox and FinchAllium DesignStorey Threads and Alison Conklin Photography is vintage wedding perfection. This gallery is simply chock full with steal-worthy inspiration, and you can see it all here.

From Fox and FinchThis spring shoot provided a chance for Fox and Finch Vintage Rental to stretch their legs and spread their wings! We reached out to collaborate with photographer Alison Conklin, wardrobe stylist Naomi Storey (of Storey Threads) and Sarah Petryk (of Allium Designs) to bring our inventory to life! As you can see by the gallery of photos, our talented group far surpassed our goals.

The day proved to be quite rainy and we feared for the pastries and our furniture. But even the best laid plans have to allow for spontanaity. We provided vintage umbrellas when necessary and set out the macaroons at the last minute. Looking at the progression of color through the photography captures the progression of tones from early spring to late spring. The soft color pallet chosen for the wedding and dressing scenes was an intentional tribute to the colors of spring emerging happily through a dull winter landscape. Hair stylist Jill Kozar ( of Up your Do)and makeup artist Kelly Quinlan (of Face the Occasion) directly mirrored this pallet and softness. The furniture chosen contains and compliments these hews. For our more brilliant shots we wanted the color to progress naturally into deeper berry tones that are found later in the spring season. The Hoosier cabinet off set the colorful cake scene and the deep color sofas were chosen intentionally to support and venerate these more vibrant hues as the colors literally bloom off of the photos.

For the second portion of our shoot, we chose a very sophisticated dress from BHLDN. Naomi adorned herself with a vintage bracelet and blusher veil in saturated magenta. Fox and Finch Vintage Rentals created a dessert-bar scene laden with antique china and linens, spilling out of an oak hoosier cabinet. Once again BHLDN was featured in pastel cake stands and a cheeky bunny cake topper. We wrapped up the shoot with a few avant garde arrangements of wooden chairs and pairings of Naomi with two of our most deeply hued sofas.

From Sarah Petryk of Allium Designs…After this particularly long and brutal winter, I’ve been just so desperate for spring flowers. It feels like everything is running behind, even in the flower markets, as spring slowly, slowly begins its arrival. So, you can imagine my delight when I found lots of tulips and hyacinth to mark the beginning of spring floral season. I couldn’t help but work them in, along with some old standbys-ranunculus,spray roses, orchids and unusual “greenery” to add to the overall texture of the pieces. Inspiration shoots are just the best-they give me an opportunity to design something with no restriction, no rules, no hard and fast color palate. The result? Flowers that I think truly evoke the season, touches of blue and that purply-pink of the orchids-colors that pop off the backdrop of the woods, still dressed in their winter blanket of dry leaves, sticks and roots. As a bonus, since we all see so much “vintage” in weddings now, it’s refreshing to find new ways to incorporate special pieces-check out the arrangement inside the sewing machine…or the one tucked in the flour bin of the hoosier cabinet. We really enjoyed putting this day together. Now…if only we could really have a wedding in those amazing woods!
